We pulled in late after a fun day at Yellowstone. The view was indeed stunning then we looked at the hotel. The hotel sign flickered on and off as to say sketchy deal here but hope springs eternal. This was to be our most expensive stay on our trip after taxes nearly $400 bucks! We wanted to splurge one night. The hotel we quickly noticed was decorated with classy plastic flowers. We looked at each other like WTH? As we walked up to the front office area I noticed an ice machine made in my hometown. "Hey, look a Manitowoc ice machine"! I lifted it's cover to find it filled with discarded trash. $400 and no ice. The manger sat inside with a sign saying he was leaving at 9PM. We would be own our own at that point. The hotel had little to no exterior lighting it was clearly not even up to code. In front of his little office he had one of those large gates you pull across to lock up the store in places like Brooklyn. Boxes and junk piled up all over. The whole place reeked like cigarettes from all the people smoking outside their rooms on the front porch. The rooms had a whopping 27" TV in the kitchen and more things messed up than it's worth mentioning but here are a few highlights....no glasses, no coffee for the coffee maker, small dented undersized fridge that literally moved when you opened it, plywood hung up to close off an entrance, hair in the tub, construction materials spewed around the parking lot (website said it would be done by Memorial Day).
We are not pretentious hard to please people. We camp in tents and fly econo class. This was $400 bucks and any Motel 6 is a nicer place. After seeing our room we asked to leave as did another couple as well. (We did not know them). This is not a three star hotel. We drove back to West Yellowstone and were lucky to get a room due to a cancellation. We don't wish bad things for these owners. Get it together this place was a dump.

This hotel (it is not a B&B!) is located 30KM from the West entrance of Yellowstone. It is in front of a lake (at the opposite side of the street), and offers rooms with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The sofa bed is a double person size, but the mattress is extremely hard.
We did not have any sheets/duvet/pillows for this bed, so we had to ask (was fixed very quickly). Next we noticed we only had 4 towels (we were 5). When I say 4 towels, I do not mean 4 towel sets, but 4 towels only. This was also promptly fixed (that is, we received one extra towel). Next, we notice the toilet has a problem when you flush it.
Also this was fixed quickly, but this is not the way you want to start your stay. The bedrooms are at the backside of the hotel room, and don't have a real window (you have a window, but it is more an emergency exit to climb out and go one floor up (you look at what seems to be half a pipe mounted in concrete...)
The bathroom is very small and includes the toilet, not really practical.
The room could have been cleaner too.
Breakfast is on the first floor, and very basic. The tables were dirty(!) and the breakfast area is clearly under dimensioned. This hotel seems to be popular with people from Asia, and provides noodles for breakfast too.
You can sit outside in front of the room, but all neighbours pass this area too, so you have zero privacy here.

Room tip: Ask for a room on the second floor: you will have a better view on the lake and not face a wall on the backside
