If you are trying to save on lodging costs while traveling cross country then the place to stay in Red Lodge, Montana is the Yodeler Motel. This is an older motel but it is well maintained and clean. It reminded me of the ski accommodations we used to get back in the 60's. The motel is on the south end of town and a great breakfast stop is just a couple of blocks to the north. You can easily walk to downtown Red Lodge for shopping and dining. Check in was very easy with our reservation. The room door was on the backside of the building, but the room window still faced the street, which was not a noise problem. Parking in the back was plentiful, but we were there during the off season. The room is a little on the small side but there is still plenty of room for all our stuff and being able to move around. The bed was comfortable and all the bedding was fresh and clean. The bath had plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo and conditioner. There was even a steam bath, but we did not try that feature. The floors were clean as I could walk around in white socks and the soles stayed white. We had neighbors that night but we did not have noise from either side or from above. We left early the next day and checkout was no more difficult than leaving the room keys on the bed. If you are looking for a great value in Red Lodge, you will not go wrong with the Yodeler Motel. Have a safe journey, Cheers.

An unexpected treasure of a motel. I could go on for pages. Huge room (we could have danced), every amenity, even a hairdryer! Private whirlpool bath! Excellent beds. The motel is old and historical, but beautifully refurbished. It's decor and equipment are geared for skiers, but we old folks were charmed. not only with the wonderful room, but with the warmth of the owners. Lastly, the cost was far less than expected! Thanks, Mac! (This is my 2nd review--the first one mistakenly went to Red Lodge Inn. Sorry.)

Room tip: We had an upper room and didn't view the lower ones.

Loved everything - the location, staff friendliness, cleanliness, comfortable beds. Steam spa showers...the town of Red Lodge is very cute and within walking distance of the hotel. Great food in this town.

Very quaint and cozy. Great location and personable staff. Enjoying the beautiful fall colors and relative quiet of the shoulder season. Room has all the amenities you expect: wifi, microwave, small refrigerator and TV so we can watch Monday Night Football!

We needed a hotel for one night before going into Yellowstone. We decided last moment to book at the Yodeler. We were very satisfied. I always look for price, location, and cleanliness. It scored a 5 in all of those areas. The room was very spacious. To be a historically recognize hotel, it had modern conveniences such as a steam bath, hook up for electric cars, microwave, refrig.; and a nice shampoo/conditioner set up in the shower. I have never stayed in a hotel that had such good lighting in the room. Looking at the window and seeing seven turkeys strut down Main Street also made a memorable experience. I would recommend the Yodeler to any of my friends.
