We spent a very pleasant afternoon and night at Deer Crossing B&B during an extended trip across the northwestern states of Montana and Idaho. Stu and Linda were exceptional hosts - open, friendly and helpful.
Deer Crossing is about 15 minutes from Hamilton. But once you turn off the main road, there is a gravel road to the B&B. This might be difficult to travel in bad weather for some cars.
The property is beautiful and tranquil, just like a picture. Our room, Moose Meadows, was small, but cozy. The bathroom was small as well, but adequate. Also, there was private access to a back deck which was a real bonus. The room was a little cool, but I just snuggled under the blanket for an excellent night's sleep.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh fruit, bacon, waffles and of course, coffee. We ate in a cheerful breakfast nook with other guests, enjoying each other's company, the food and the hummingbirds just outside the window. What a delightful way to start the day!
Stu and Linda were so friendly and welcoming. And their big yellow cat was, too! We were only there for one night, but truly enjoyed our stay.
