We flew into and out of Great Falls for our vacation to Glacier National Park and Banff. We arrived late on a Friday evening. The hotel was very prompt in sending their airport shuttle to pick us up. First of all, that is a nice touch. So many hotels no longer offer airport transportation. Annika ( our driver) also works the front desk and was very friendly and professional as was everyone we dealt with at the hotel. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. It was also very quiet. We also stayed here the night before we fly back out. There is construction on the lobby, but that did not interfere with our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I cannot understand how this Garden Inn doesn't rate in at least the top few or as the best in Great Falls.
Upon checkin received a great welcome, professional, friendly and knowledgeable check in.
Check out as smooth.
Breakfast is a great deal as a Gold or Diamond member, my opinion, best in its class.
I arrived for breakfast at approx 0550, 10 minutes prior to their open.
I was still promptly seated, by the kitchen staff, ready to bring me a coffee and drop off a menu.
Garden Inn m Hampton Inn my definate 2 go to hotels. (Hampton was pet friendly last time I stayed)

I've stayed here twice now and the only thing worse than couch and chair in the room are the staff. The hotel does not respond if you have issues and this hotel will stick you at every turn if given the chance. They are beyond cheap and have been working on renovations for at least 5 months, it shouldn't take that long. The treatment I received as a diamond member guarantees I will not be returning. Every time I walk in the staff just stares, no hello, nothing.

We just checked out, we had a be out guest certificate to stay free, so we drove from Canada to check it out! Let me tell you, your first point of contact in a hotel, can set the entire tone!
We walk up to the front desk, where Nicole who is working is blabbering on a very obvious personal call on her CELL PHONE... just lets us stand while she finished. Once done, her first words were “I hope your not wanting to check in cause it’s going to be a long long long time, we are busy”. How about hi? How are you? Welcome to the Hilton garden inn? So I asked how long, she didn’t know so I said ok, well then is it possible to cancel, and I’ll go elsewhere if you don’t know? Magically she has a room... but let’s us stand there for THIRTY MINUTES telling us how management hates her and she doesn’t know how to use the voucher. Finally a manager came and took the voucher and sent us on our way!

We get to our room , the WIFI doesn’t work... we call downstairs where she tells us it takes a while for the system to recognize a check in ... hmm ok?
5 min later my credit card alerts me I have been charged 200.00 USD by the Hilton, so she checked us in AGAIN and charged me for my FREE STAY! Ughhhh

I then go to wash my hands and guess what? NO WATER! Haha at this point all I can do is laugh, call down again inquiring and she says “I guess I can send someone up when they aren’t busy” ummmm??? We can’t even flush the toilet , so to brush us off seem unacceptable! We later found out due to construction they turned it off for 20min, would have been nice if we got a heads up!

Without asking my name or room says 199$ for your stay I said no it’s free, she says nope it’s 199$ for everything - OH MY GODDDDD! Luckily the manager was walking by, fixed the issues and saved us from what was probably going to match the 30 min check in, to check out!

One other thing, never once did we show ID or the credit card... so if anyone knew our hotel of choice they could have taken our place cause she never verified who we were!

Night staff were friendly as we came back from being out and maintenance staff very friendly....

Nicole at the front desk, managed to put a bad taste in our mouth for the whole 24hrs! Customer service goes a long way! It was clear she didn’t want to be there and didn’t want us to be either !

I wouldn’t stay again

The HGI is currently undergoing some renovations but it doesn’t cause any issues. The rooms are large, clean, and have sleep number beds which is quite nice. The breakfast is slightly expensive, so I would recommend going in to town to eat. Otherwise, a very nice place and we would return!
