We have waited for years to get to stay at this wonderful old hotel. Our room was 308, looking down on the river and lovely parts of history in this town. The lobby is a walk through the past, as was both the restaurant and bar area. Our room was up beautiful banistered stairs, making you wonder about all the folks who made the same journey. There is an updated elevator, if needed. Our room was well appointed, the old wardrobe, the high sitting beds, and the lovely bath, updated with replications, completed our walk down history lane. Dinner in the dining room, as well as breakfast, were very satisfying. Olivia in the dining room, added to our enjoyable stay at this grand hotel.
Make sure you allow time to tour this darling town. There are information boards all along the river, giving you history of the area.More
