We were going to stay at the Lark downtown until we found out it was nearly $400 for a room, so we popped over to this place and for $100 we got a clean room, clean towels, great location to downtown bars and restaurants, and a good night sleep. "No smoking signs" are all over which is really nice and rooms are old but still don't have that terrible motel smell/feel. Easy and safe parking. Would definitely stay here again for another Bozeman trip!

Room was clean, linen and towels clean but scratchy, hot water for shower, wifi worked well, soap and shampoo in dispenser on wall, hair dryer. I was in large room with queen size bed that was comfortable, micro/frig and coffee maker with complementary coffee. The one issue I had was the AC was an independent unit and the exhaust valve part was in the window so you could not lock window. This was a personal security issue for me.

I reserved via booking.com, where this motel was ranked in the "Preferred Property Program" which, according to booking's website, "groups together properties that stand out because of their excellent service and quality/price ratio". Although Royal 7 Bozeman is above the 'truly crummy' level, it is well below par for $120 a night. I feel that something is clearly wrong with booking.com's ranking system, and they need to taker a very careful look at this and similar properties. First the good things - not that many: a reasonable complimentary breakfast, though nothing exciting, good cable TV and free wifi service. The bad things are, however, highly significant. The bed was very soft, and was overlaid with a 3 inch foam top-mattress that wouldn't even stay centred, and made my night unpleasantly hot. All three pillows were uncomfortably high (low pillows can be combined, but high pillows can't be sliced in half). The air conditioning was functional, but extremely noisy, and once it was turned off the room rapidly adjusted to ambient temperature, which on the days I visited was well above 30 °C (in the low 90's Fahrenheit). These things together made it hard to get to sleep and I felt myself lucky to awaken with only a mildly bad back. On arrival, the TV gave out only white noise, and the duty manager took 10 minutes to figure out and fix the loose connection(s). Also, the toilet cistern in my room was constantly flushing, which required a lot of amateur plumbing actions to rectify after each use (housekeeping had left it constantly draining, presumably for hours, each day). The room was superficially clean, but for all these faults, I can't rank it above a 2. It badly needs renovating. There must be much nicer and better value places in Bozeman.

This is a simple hotel in the middle of the town, made of 3 long single-floor buildings. It is basic, but has everything you need. The rooms are quite large.

Since it is only one floor and has thin walls, you can hear all the noises from the outside (the parking lot). Specifically in our room we also had a loud periodic dripping sound coming from somewhere outside. There was also some nearby train noise from early in the morning.

The shower head was too low, and the towels were too rough (time to replace?) There was a simple breakfast, but with real forks and spoons (i.e., not plastic ones).

Stayed 3 nights there and found the staff very friendly, super breakfast included and rooms very clean. Worth the money. It's in a great location and you can easily walk to the downtown core which is full of character, bars and restaurants. Very charming town.
