The views are breathtaking. Every morning we woke up to find wildlife out side. We actually saw a little black bear cub one morning. Perfect for skiing. We'd start every morning, come home for lunch, sit by the fire to re-charge then ski another two hoursThe condo is perfect. We love it here.

Our family has enjoyed this property and must say it is the most wonderful place our family has ever visited! The condominium is on 2 levels, the main floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The dinning room can accommodate 8 people at the table. The living room has the most incredible views od Lone Mountain Peake, Lake Lavinsky and the mountain village. The room has a 20 foot ceiling, and a massive stone fireplace .
This building has a heated guarantee in the basement, and an elevator that takes you to your 3rd floor apartment. This place is special!

Skycrest is perfect for a mountain vacation. Great views from the sunroom, hot tub in the unit for the sore after-ski muscles, well-equipped kitchen, wood burning fire place, heated underground parking, multiple wall hooks for wet gear. I could go on and on about how perfect this was for our vacation. I've skied all over the world and this was the best ski accommodations I've had.

Room Tip: Unit 1720 owned by Joy and Bob was where we stayed and we could not have been happier.

15 years ago we started coming to Big Sky Montana to go skiing with friends - we used to go to CO (Vail - Aspen - Breckenridge - and Copper Mt.) they are all nice BUT if you love to ski and actually WANT TO SKI - then you will consider Big Sky - Over 5,000 acres of slopes and little to no people. * By comparison!

SO let's talk the Skycrest! Absolutely the best deal in Big Sky and with the best views. We have stayed in many of these units - all are wonderful - we recommend 1723 but you can find them on VRBO and other private rentals. They are really big living areas - 2 bed rooms in most (i thinks some have 3) with a hot tub inside. Yes, they are a little on the older side( for some of them ) but we have stayed all over Big Sky and these properties have been the most consistent and best value.

VIEW: When you stay in "the Circle" as we call it - you rarely get a view of the mountains but ALL the Skycrest units face Lone Peak and you see everything - even the fireworks on New Years Eve.

You do need to drive to the FREE parking to access the main village or take the shuttle (get catch the free shuttle bus - get a schedule so you know the times) however Big Sky is about skiing and bringing your own fun. Very little night life because you can ski so hard you are dead dog tired. Make dinner back at the place - crack some wine - sit in the hot tub and you are "toast" rest and relax in front of the fireplace and then get rested for the next full day of skiing.

If you are a skier at other resorts you know that getting in 6 full runs before lunch is not a leisurely endeavor - at Big Sky - no problem - SHHHH don't tell anyone we don't want the secret to get out!!!! ; )

We have been to CO once since we started traveling here and really no reason to go back - Beautiful scenery on and off the hill - don't just ski on the view (like Breckenridge) ski and look at the view too! Amazing!

Great skiing - and the Skycrest is a great place to make your base camp. (underground indoor heated parking too!)

Enjoy

Room Tip: All are good - many have photos online but are very consistent in amenities - a little dated but everything has always worked well to accommodate what we need and REALLY BIG living space and bedrooms. All face Lone Peak so the view is the same - maybe the upper levels have a better sight line but there is an elevator from the indoor parking area so no problem hauling everything up - 1723 was a great unit!

The unit we rented at the Skycrest Condominiums (#1723) was amazing. The floorplan was very large, the furniture updated and it had everything we needed for our family of four to enjoy ourselves. It was super easy to either catch the shuttle or just drive over (we could have coasted across the street to the ski area was so close). We found that the people who owned the place really made a big effort to make our vacation workable... we had a bunch of questions and little details to deal with (daughter with asthma). They were SO wonderful. Anyway, the condos are dated on the outside...and the bathrooms were super clean and had everything you'd need (even a blow dryer) but not updated...but, we plan to stay there again soon.
