Enjoyed coffee with a former co-worker in a very pleasant setting. It's a nice spot and while the menu is limited, it was good enough for what we were looking for that day.

Another nice find thanks to Trip Advisor. Was there for a rugby match and wanted something close by. Trip Advisor recommended a good one again!
There was a pretty good selection and service was fast. Prices seemed exceptionally good for the location and the quality/quantity.
The counter help was bored and not very helpful in answering questions or making recommendations- and no one was behind us in line, so there was opportunity.
Go there, enjoy, but don't expect a warm welcome.

This cafe is located in the visitors center in forest park next to the handball and tennis courts and lose to the Jefferson memorial.
There is a brand new $26 million trolley with tracks and everything that runs from the Delmar loop to the Jeffersom memorial which is 1 1/2 blocks from the cafe.
Runners and bikers stop and congregate in the visitors center and use the cafe so it is like a watering hole for people on their way to someplace.
It makes for interesting people watching and of course the visitors stop in for information.
Park tours also begin at the visitors center so it is a happening place.
I like to take a morning walk in the park and stop in at the perk cafe and split an omelette and sourdough toast with my wife. I have a regular coffee and she gets a capachino.
It is always interesting to go there and the perk employees like their work and it shows.

This is an early morning through early afternoon snack and drink place. Popular with runners and bikers especially, it still has nice snacks.

Great Service. Friendly staff. The food here is as also pretty darn delicious. A must-try place for those who go to St. Louis.
