Latitude is a wonderful neighborhood joint with friendly service and good food. The salsa is fresh and the food is tasty. I recommend the nachos.

Fabulous, fresh ingredients, a wide variety of choices, and awesome margaritas! The house salsa has some mild heat with real roasted peppers and tomatoes. The new addition of smoked meats to the menu is great and really kicks it up in the more traditional dishes. The shredded brisket is excellent. We also tried the Shrimp Rojo appetizer...so good I may be ordering that as my entree next time! The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. We were out with friends for the evening but it's definitely kid-friendly too.

This is another special spot from Kelli and Tony Almond (Almonds in Clayton). At the corner of Tamm and Clayton in D-town, the address is legendary for Mexican food (Chuy Arzola's), but this is something else completely -- tex-mex done really fresh and a little contemporary but NOT fussy. Veggie flautas I could eat 5 nights a week. Margarita's like they're supposed to be. Priced right, portions good but not gross, owners in the house making sure everybody is taken care of. There is more on the menu than what they have listed on the website, but you can get the basics here -- www.latitude26texmex.com
