After price line screwing us on the Red Roof we left Red Roof because of bugs and unclean rooms. Price line not refunding our money after the Red Roof refunded them. We on our own went to the Best Western St. Charles Elshaun was great he helped us find a room for the night got a great rate and got 2 room suite the next day breakfast was good I wish they had a hot tub but the inside pool was nice a lot of stores in walking distance including the Amerstar Casino. Stay there anytime

Friendly and sharp staff. Nice clean room with good internet and TV. Also, the complimentary breakfast made a good start to our day. Good experience. We would stay there again. We were impressed with the young man who checked us in. Good attitude and good at his job.

Very professional and clean. Room was cool even on 100' F day. Food was fresh and pool was salt water. I swam here for years... We love this place and it will bring us back.
Elevators need updated for they are very well used.

My daughter and I stayed here one night after completing the Katy Trail on bicycles.

When we first walked in there were some construction tools that were being taken somewhere. They made it a bit difficult to get an accurate impression of the lobby area.

Front desk staff were friendly and courteous. We asked if they had a place we could secure our bikes and they allowed us to put them in our room. (some hotels don't allow that).

The room was nicely furnished and very clean. The beds had multiple pillows on them of different firmness levels, making it easy to find the most comfortable one.

While here we got tickets on amtrak back to Clinton. But, we weren't able to get the morning train. Leaving later and being tired from our trip I didn't want to check out at 11 and spend the day in town until it was time to catch our train.

I called the front desk and explained our situation. They were very understanding and are able to move things around to allow us a later checkout.

The breakfast was good and had a few small touches that made it extra nice. They had almond and soy milk as options which impressed my daughter. They also had tortillas to make breakfast burritos.

Overall this was a wonderful experience and the perfect place to recover from biking a few hundred miles.

At check-in, midnight, he said our rooms were still being cleaned and that we would not be able to check in for 30 minutes to an hour. at 1:00 am our rooms still were not ready. At 1:30 am I was given a King Room (Reserved a Queen Double) and at 1:45 am my second room was ready. I was assured that the next night I would have a Queen Double, no, was given a roll-a-way.
