This is a very interesting place to visit whether you're a visitor or you live at the lake. The view from the lodge is amazing! Also the display of how the dam was built and it's history is worth a visit. If you're ambitious you can make the hike down to the gazebo on the water. Very pretty. I would highly recommend this.

Couldn't believe no one in my family had ever been to this gem! What an awesome view from their deck and the museum is small but very informative. Staff was very friendly. Must-do for anyone visiting the lake area. If you are driving over the dam, you MUST stop in for awhile!

This is a must at least one time. You learn about the area, and are educated about the lake and what changes have gone on over the years

What a gorgeous setting and interesting story. The grounds are beautiful and the original building is very well kept. While "free" there is a "guided tour" that is still a bit of a mystery to me. Janet walked us through the four "private room" museum, often reading the information posted on the walls but didn't seem all that informed otherwise. What she said was written on a flyer as well as beside the displays. Forgo the "tour" as it really isn't one. Do visit, however!

My husband didn't really want to go (not a museum fan), but this is not a typical museum and it does not take long to go through it. Was really interesting to see how the dam was built and the lodge itself is a very interesting building. Nice place to go if the weather is bad too!
