Oz is a great stylish addition to Sayulita. I love this little Mexican surf town but the one thing that's lacking here is a bit of style. Oz fills that void nicely. The rooftop pool/bar area is stylish and fun. The pool is warm and Cesar- the rooftop bartender is super friendly and cool, has great taste in music and makes a delicious cocktail. The rest of the hotel staff is fantastic as well and the food is very good. I have only been here for drinks and food- I haven't yet seen the rooms. The hotel is well located too- just a short walk from the beach and the town square.

We had drinks on Oz's Rooftop Bar. The view is spectacular as you can see most of the town below and ocean off in the distance. The bartender was friendly and very informative. We went downstairs to the restaurant and had a totally different experience. We should have been more cautious as we were the only diners at 7:30 PM, March 1. I ordered the Pork Shank which was tough and had to cut of the bone with a knife. Normally the meat falls off the bone. Two of my companions ordered the flank steak, which was over cooked and hard to cut even with a knife. The fat and gristle were still on the meat. The waiter forget the potatoes and onion, which was with the meal. They did prepare them but the meal was over by the time the potatoes arrived. The pasta and fried chicken were OK. Three of the five meals were not satisfactory. To add insult to injury, the bill arrived with a 10% Value added tax. I questioned this as I have never seen this on any restaurant bill in Sayulita. I have been going to Sayulita over the last 10 years on a regular basis. The waiter said it was an 'impuesto.' I was too tired and aggravated to fight with the waiter. We paid the bill and will not return. This is unfortunate as the hotel seems nice.

We loved the hospitality, the feel, and design of the hotel. The lighting in the bathroom over the sink needed help, and street noise was apparent but not too much.
The privacy and feeling at the pool was lovely. The manager and staff were very helpful.
Overall, the hotel has a great boutique feel, clean and modern.

Room tip: There are no water views. (only 1 beach hotel in town) Quietest rooms are on the first floor in a courtyard.

Girlfriend and I were visiting from London for a wedding and decided to stay in this hotel. Brand new hotel with a great central location and even better staff.

When we first read the reviews, we noticed that there was lots of praise for the staff but figured that was a bit exaggerated. It's not the case at all, these guys are top notch and will go out of their way to do anything for you. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Also worth noting the breakfast buffet was very nice and there are lots of rooms.

Our room was luxurious, spacious, and very clean. The hotel staff is incredibly helpful with all your needs taken care of promptly and with a smile. My daughter and I felt so comfortable and completely safe. The rooftop pool and spa area was a great place to hang out and watch the sunset. We would love to stay there again someday. We moved on to Zona Romantica in Puerto Vallarta to the Hotel Playa Los Arcos and are very disappointed with the condition of our room. We should never have left OZ. All pales in comparison. We felt we were saying goodbye to family when leaving the front staff.
