Lovely villa located 5 minutes' drive outside of town.
We were warmly greeted and shown to a clean, spacious room with views over the surrounding countryside. We relaxed by the small pool (on what had been a very hot day) before taking the owner's recommendation for dinner. Our room was very comfortable and quiet and a good sleep was had by all.
Breakfast was very good.
Probably more suited to longer stays and families - but we enjoyed it.

2 nights here and we wanted to stay longer. It's the perfect break away, surrounded by nature, it is such a peaceful. Place to retreat to. The owners are fantastic, breakfast is fab. It's so close to Monsoraz. I want to go back!

Room tip: Room 1 has a beautiful view up to the castle

We spent a wonderful week end at Monte Santa Catarina. The place is cosy and charming, and the warm owners, Susanna and Vasco, paid attention to every detail to make yourself comfortable. They also gave us great tips to discover the area and some good places to eat.
Moreover, if you are an animal lover, you will love that place: they have a lama, goats, cats and dogs, a ferret and even a meerkat couple that they cherish!
We also had the opportunity of getting a private astronomy lesson (they are specialized in this field) and got to use their great telescope.
To resume: super place, super hosts, we will come back for sure!

We spent such a lovely weekend at Susana & Vasco 's paradise. There are not simply the warmest host we ever met but also great cooks (what a breakfast!) and deep conoisseur of astronomy. On the top of that, they will be pleased to introduce you to their numerous animals, including a couple of meercats and a lama! Thank you again for having made our stay so memorable.
