The first thing you notice is that the route to this restaurant is rather seedy, but once you arrive and let the valet park your car, it is a fantastic restaurant. We visited this restaurant with four friends who are locals in St. Martin. As we stepped into the dining room, we noticed how elegant it is and our table was on a balcony which had a view of the water and Anguilla in the distance. The waiter was very professional and made sure that every detail of our experience was perfect. We began with appetizers and found that the escargot and the French Onion soup were the best. I have never seen the soup cooked in a crock with pastry over the top and the cheese layered on top of the pastry. When it is presented, the waiter cuts the pastry into the soup and the cheese falls into the soup. Every entree was delicious. Our group had the roasted duck, filet of sole, and Chateaubriand. The wine list is also very complete. For dessert, we had the souffle with Grand Marnier and it was the best I have ever tasted! After a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our friendship and two bottles of wine with dinner, we all left full and happy. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the experience and the wonderful food. We will return for sure.
