On our recent visit to Mijas, whilst on holiday, we sought out this little restaurant because of its good Trip Advisor reviews. We got the last table as the place was very busy, and with just one waitress running around, who was lovely and friendly. We ordered a selection of tapas including the chilli mussels which were excellent. Could have done with more though and not served with a chilli mayo, it didn´t need it. The mussels had actually been cleaned properly as well.....a first in a Spanish restaurant, although I´m sure the chef is not Spanish. I loved the pulled pork served in Chinese bread with hoisin sauce. The pork cheek was tasty but I wasn´t keen on the basil dressing on it. A sweet topping would have been nicer. The gyzos were quite hard as though they had been deep fried instead of being cooked the normal way. We also had lentil and chorizo stew, which was excellent but for 8,50€, and only 2 pieces of chorizo, the portion was very small. Non of the tapas came with bread, this is available to buy separately. Although we enjoyed the tapas and the lovely house wine, we wouldn´t rush back only because there are many more different restaurants to try.

I can't comment on the food as we popped in on a couple of times for a night cap during a 5 night break in Mijas on a half-board basis, though the restaurant was always busy and it looked as though everyone was enjoying good food in a lively ambience.

We sat at a nice table just outside of the restaurant watching the world go by and chatting over the days events and planning for the next - the staff ( two young girls served us) were really great - friendly, efficient and we were given a small dish of olives to accompany our drinks (Sangria & Victoria beer made in Malaga - a lager/pale ale styled beverage which was really good). It was rather cool at night so we were given blankets to put on our knees and this was a nice touch.

We really enjoyed the place, the only thing which compromised the experience (though no fault of the Tomillo Limon) was the behaviour of some people (British) in a bar a few doors up where the language commonly used was filthy, loud and showed little respect for others in that bar or indeed the Tomillo Limon - we saw the culprits ('locals' we thought) on both visits and they were always pretty well stewed with alcohol.

Let that not detract you from visiting the Tomillo Limon however - you are assured of a good welcome and excellent service.

Excellent little restaurant. Do recommend arriving at close or pre booking as it gets full quick.
I had the vegan option menu which was gorgeous. My family had the meat menu and they loved theirs too. Five stars.

Ate here a couple of times. Service was lovely and tapas very tasty and imaginatively presented. Grab a seat in the sun although inside is also nice.

Had tapas here twice on a recent visit. The small restaurant has a cozy trendy feel, staff very welcoming and a terrific tapas menu. Kitchen is open and you can see the food being prepared.

Tapas have a modern twist and some excellent wine.

Fresh and clean - i loved it!!!!

Excellent!

A small number of restaurants in mijas pueblo have raised the dining standard in the village and credit is due to them for doing so. Search them out and you will be rewarded with an excellent experience.

There are still many mediocre offerings which fall short of the standard set by the few.
