A lesson in how to host, spread joy and give a customer an experience worth paying for with an honest, simple product.
Every restaurant, bistro or pub owner/manager/waiter could take a lesson in passion, enthusiasm and dedication from these guys and get schooled in how customer service, repeat custom and bums on seats is the absolute key to success.
The food and ambience were excellent. Pasta perfectly cooked, enticing specials lovingly described, in person, and great value house red. Many thanks for making our 2 day business trip into a bit of a holiday!
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Be sure to book, as this place is as popular as it deserves to be.

Hidden gem in Sussex...highly recommend this restaurant. Food is authentic, staff are friendly and is reasonably priced. Good variety of choices with specials available too. If you like Italian food, this is the place to go!

Totally enjoyed a superb lunch at this wonderful family run restaurant. We all ate off the weekday set lunch menu which offered great choices. The price was great and the service just right.

This is a lovely looking restaurant and reminds me of Italy how the tables are laid out and the general atmosphere is good and lively. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. My main of linguine with clams and asparagus was tasteless and oily. It tasted suspiciously of butter but I find it hard to believe an Italian restaurant would have used butter in their pasta dish?? The special dessert of cheesecake with amaretto biscuit topping and ameretto liqueur looked and tasted thrown together. Had I not been so hungry I would have left both dishes. My husbands meal was equally disappointing and as we left he told me we wouldn’t be returning. Shame as we are moving into the area and this would have been a very useful local eatery. Not recommended.

Good Afternoon Rachel, I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your meal with us. Firstly let me assure you that there would only have been olive oil used in your dish especially with Vongole. We are all human, mistakes can happen but being a small family run restaurant we rely heavily on local trade and getting feedback allows us to right any wrongs. Had you of told us at the time and given us the opportunity to do this we would have happily rectified any issues. Our number one priority is that our customers leave happy which 9.9 times out of 10 they do. We are a busy restaurant with an excellent reputation for both food and service and we would love you to come back as our guests and let us cook the same dishes for you so you can experience the true Dal Nonno flavours that all our customers love.
Kind regards
Adriana
