We were comped breakfast here because of a few issues with our hotel room. It was a Sunday, so they had "Brunch" The staff was really friendly, they keep your ice water and coffee filled to the brim. The omelette chef also very friendly and he made a great omelette. The mamosa's were not good, the cheap champagne made me gag. The coffee was an abomination of mud. The buffet was standard fare you find at a buffet that just had no imagination or flavor that would get me to go back. We stopped at 6-smith in Wayzata on our way home for a bloody mary and saw the buffet there that smelled completely different and looked amazing. We even got to try their creamy Lobster scrambled eggs and a few of their cold shrimp. Night and day compared to Charlie's and the price is only 6 dollars more. Charlie's management just doesn't try to be more than what it is-averag. As said before, the staff are great, but they apparently don't have the talent and resources to present anything more than average.

My teens and I decided we would like to try out Irish food on our visit to Stillwater as we saw this restaurant near the waterfront.

The food was a mixed bag.

The crab cakes and sauce were delectable.
The Irish fries consisted of a huge portion of fries with a little bit of shredded corned beef, a little more cheddar cheese and a lot more sauerkraut piled right on the top with the majority of the fries lacking any sort of topping or flavor.
The Crab Stuffed Chicken was bland and generally flavorless, but the asparagus served with it was fresh and perfectly prepared.
The Fisherman's Pie contained a surprise piece of chicken, disheartening for my piscatarian daughter.
The portion of spaghetti for my daughter was huge -- enough for 3 people, with a couple of meatballs and a very thick, sweet red sauce.
The garlic buffalo wings were devoured, but the garlic buffalo boneless "wings" went largely untouched.
There is no view to speak of in the winter time as the deck is closed and there were no windows.
There were at least 4 televisions tuned in to the Olympic games in the bar seating area that was open to guests.

I have tried just about everything on their menu. I have yet to be dissapointed. The service is always top notch, the prices are very reasonable and there is no better view than at Charlie's. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. This place is awesome!

Can't really speak for whole meal as we only had happy hour but it was a winner. Will definitely return. Staff welcoming and efficient.
Bull bites HOT, so if thats what you like go for it, otherwise ask them to tame it down.
