My wife and I wanted to take a weekend trip and experience Stillwater. We wanted to be close to the historic downtown without paying B&B prices. We tried the Lowell Inn as an alternative. The location is superb. Our room was in the historic wing. It was small, but adequate. If you need a desk, dresser/TV center, closet, two sinks, etc, this is not for you. For us, though, it was fine. We were just staying overnight and planned to be gone more than in the room.
If you are going to stay here, though, you should be aware of the bathroom. There is no door! That's right, no door! You just pull a curtain closed. And if you come with a cosmetic collection, you won't really find a spot to easily set all your stuff. The water in the shower will eventually get hot, but you might want to turn it on and then go get a cup of coffee. The water pressure isn't great either.
We will come back to Stillwater, probably with family. We would consider the Lowell Inn again, but we'll probably explore other options first. More
