There is a rather large flock of ducks and geese that live in this park year round. They are really neat especially in the spring and fall when they are joined by the migrating flocks. On nice fall, winter, and spring days this is a beautiful lake with a nice flat walking path.
The summer is probably the worst time of year to come to this park. During the summer the mosquitoes get bad, the algae bloom (due to lots of goose poop) is huge and stinky, and the geese/ducks can be very protective of newly hatched babies.
