I was looking for a hotel close to 90 and although this hotel is not right off the exit, it is closer than many others. The hotel was very clean and our room was great. There is a lot of green space surrounding the hotel if you have kids who need to run around and play. I was concerned when I found out there were several sports teams staying for a tournament but the staff was very careful in placing us on the top floor (no kids running around above us!) and they opened the breakfast early for them so they had cleared out by time most of the regular travelers arrived for breakfast. The pool was very nice and has a small outdoor patio attached.

This review cover two stays at this property by my wife.

Arrived August 7th. The morning of the 8th she had no hot water. The evening of the 8th the electricity went on and off for four hours during the evening. The morning of August 9th the dryer did not work and would not be fixed until after her check-out on the 10th. At check out she pointed out all the went wrong and was given a $30 credit.

Arrived August 28th. Cable was out for the entire hotel for 4 hours in the evening.

Why did she stay the second time? Close to Mayo. Complements for providing a special request room for the first stay and remembering the need for the second stay.

The room was very clean. Thought the bed was to soft.

Thank you very much for your stay. I apologize for the issues and can assure you that they have been dealt with at this time. This is a thriving area of Rochester and the new developments can result in intermittent cable loss as the cable company temporarily suspends service. The amount of outages during your stay was exceptionally unusual. I have also contacted our WiFi provider and as our system is new there were a couple of minor issues but they have been resolved. Lastly, I have spoken with my front desk staff and made them aware that the type of treatment you received will not be tolerated. Again, I apologize for the issues and hope in the future you may give us another chance.

THE GOOD: Over-all, this was a nice hotel. We stayed here mid-week for a visit to Mayo. Parking was easy (both handicapped and non), nice lobby, free newspaper, small convenience area to get snacks and frozen meals, microwave and frig in the room, fast & easy check in process, and an hourly shuttle to Mayo. The guests were NOT the typical Mayo guests. There were many young couples and I didn't see any kids. It was unusually quiet.

THE BAD: I appreciate the free breakfast and there were a lot of items to choose from but other than the waffle, the hot food was not good. Also, the elevator was pretty slow.

THE UGLY: The shuttled is not dedicated to this hotel so it makes several stops on each run. Our total time to Gonda from the hotel was about 20 minutes and our total time returning to the hotel from Gonda was about 45 minutes. This doesnt include wait time for the shuttle.

Room Tip: This is a three floor hotel with one slow elevator. Ask for the 1st floor.

My girlfriend and I were in town for my brothers heart surgery and originally we had a room booked at another hotel in town but left right away due to bedbugs. ( Thank god we noticed them right away and got out of there.) The lady at check in during the Am shift was so nice. She gave us a good rate and was so professional. She let us know about all the amenities of the hotel and we felt welcomed right away. Lobby area was gorgeous, very clean. The hallways and elevators were so nice and clean, smelled great. We got a room on the 3rd floor and the room was beautiful. Everything we were looking for and more. Beds are super comfy, bathrooms were clean. After a good nights rest we had breakfast and it was so good. They had a good variety of food from eggs, to sausage patties, yogurt. The giant size pastries were amazing. The night auditor worked a long shift. He was still there when we woke up. Super nice guy, very friendly. The lady that checked us in was there when we checked out and she was so nice. Give that lady a pat on the back for her amazing hospitality and welcoming smile. We will be back to Rochester in 2 weeks and hope to book a room with the Comfort Suites.

Room Tip: If you want a gorgeous hotel with amazing staff who are very professional and happy then don't look anywhere else. Book here
