“North Woods Lake Cabin Experience”
Reviewed 9 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cabin is about an 8 minute boat ride from the MN marina where we parked our car. Severest Marina is very secure and easy to operate in and out of. They charge $5 per day to park a car, $5 to launch boat, $5 to drop off garbage.

The cabin is well built, comfortable, and has a great view, however the main viewing wall only has 2 small side windows. We spent the first several days cleaning the cabin and preparing for our 1 month stay. The cabin is not really set up as a rental, it is a private family cabin. Every shelf, every drawer, every cabinet, and every closet is full of stuff. There was no room for us to unpack. The bedroom with the double bed and 2 bunk beds, the bunk beds are completely covered with stuff. There are 2 other bedrooms, one with 3 twin beds and one with a double bed.

Now the good stuff: Everything works, the cabin is well built, the plumbing works well, great shower. The views are spectacular. The cabin is "on" the water. We caught fish from the dock, we had eagles in the front yard. The Northern Lights were unusually bright for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience.
