If you love contemporary Italian food, you must try try IE! This neighborhood restaurant space is inviting with a communal table, bar, booths and outdoor tables, too. (It was a bit loud, probably because of the enthusiastic clientele!)
Four of us shared the Semolina Dumplings. Normally three dumplings are served but our waitress happily added a fourth for us. I wished we had ordered more, as this dish, which included braised mushrooms, Grana Padana and Taleggio cheese, adorned with fresh sweat pea shoots, was so delicious!
Two of us ordered the Ricotta Cavatelli which was swathed with a tasty bolognese sauce. We shared the grilled broccolini which had a wonderful Comte cream sauce. Two ordered the Chilean sea bass and found it to be outstanding! The only negative was one of the fish portions was very small and both accompaniments of seasonal vegetables were also very skimpy.
We shared a tiramisu for dessert that was creamy and outstanding and of a size quite nice for sharing.
Our waitress, Erica, was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive and we were all very impressed by the service.
We will return in the near future, of that I am sure!
