It's a bit out of the way, a few miles south of Hwy 12 on County Road 92, but well worth the journey. Nesteled in the small town of Lyndale among horse ranches and fields, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food will make you wish you lived closer. It is reminisent of an old time country bar/supper club. They offer a full bar, booth as well as table seating and can acomodate large groups. Plenty of off street parking. even for campers and RV's. In addition to the typical pub grub you'd expect, they also offer fall off the bone ribs, steaks done to perfection and a wide variety of specialty dishes. If you pass by this one, you missed an opportunity of a lifetime.

Back in the day we brought the kids to the Ox Yoke Inn and always enjoyed a classic meal. Things are just as we remembered and the food and service have been untouched. We enjoyed a cold brew with our cracker tray and recalled how we fought for the garlic breadsticks. Out came our crisp salad with dressings that have to have been homemade! Delicious!!! Our queen cut prime rib was substantial and so tender I actually cut it with my fork! The piping hot au gratin potato recipe is exactly the same. Velvety, smooth goodness from the oven. Good food is served here!

They have a wide variety of tasty food on the menu for what is largely a big pub. The new fried bratwurst appetizer was excellent. They have everything from prime rib and fish fry to frog legs. There is an OK selection of domestic and premium beers. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, but there is an unpleasant smell in the restaurant that I think is cat urine.

The smell is definitely worse in the back bar part of the restaurant. When you leave the reduced intensity of the cat urine order was quite noticeable after acclimating somewhat to it over dinner.

The ribs looked good, the pan fried walley was just OK, the hamburger was pretty good. They have clam strips on the menu that I'd like to try if I make it back there. This is a popular place and tends to stay busy.

A nice meal after visiting an estate sale. We've stopped here before with the Long Lake Hounds and both times the food & service were good. The ribs come in two options wet and dry and that works well for our preferences. Burger was good and able to order rare which I love. If you like frog legs they offer them daily on the menu.
