Maybe the conditions weren't right that day, but it was supposed to be a pretty good time of year so we were disappointed. They do have a trailer selling t-shirts, etc. and also a box with educational items such as different bird wings for the kids. It was a nice view anyway!

Terrrrrrific views! Beautiful birds! And an education to boot. September is best when the birds are on the move and weekdays will be less crowded.

Husband and I went last fall to see bird migration in September of 2010. We are VERY much into nature + wildlife + the environmental preservation. Some idiot was talking on a cellphone. LOUD. Almost the whole time we were there. I wanted to yell at him, but figured he was so ignorant, he wouldn't 'get it' I doubt I will be back, unless of course they ban cellphones there. One can only hope.

We came to Duluth w/no real plans, just wanted to get away and relax enjoy the beautiful area. At check in at the Residence Inn Hotel they had a pamphlet on counter describing this so we went and ended up spending 5 hours there, just fascinated w/all the educational talks on hawks and birds and display of the birds captured there that were banded, adopted by sponsors and released. The photos we got, the stuff we learned just mesmorized us. It made our whole weekend and we will definately return!
