The overall experience was very good. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. It has been years since we were here so a little disappointed with cleanliness of the bar area. The rotating restaurant is awesome. The food is pricey and although good it was not fantastic. I ordered the duck and my husband had the walleye. The waiter warned me that they changed the sauce on the duck and it wasn’t as good as it had been. I would agree. The walleye was good but needed a sauce since it was a tad dry. The mussels were fantastic as was the clam chowder and beet salad.
We are glad we tried it.

Not much for fine restaurants in Duluth, but this may qualify. Food is usually very good, and the views from the rotating restaurant are excellent.

Eaten here many times in the past and always been satisfied, not so this trip. We got to the restaurant as soon as it opened for breakfast. Service was good as we were the only people in the restaurant.

I ordered Crabcake Benedict and my wife ordered Florentine Benedict. Both were served Luke warm. The hollandaise sauce was very bland and cold and the crab cakes were extremely small and dissatisfying. As I mentioned earlier, my wife’s food was also cold and dissatisfying. One piece of tomato the size of a quarter. Who is the chef here? The menu options are few and uninteresting. The only saving grace is the view. Eat somewhere else and come back for a drink and check out the view.

The hotel and facilities are dated. The views are fantastic. Two full revolutions during dinner. Service was pretty good. Food was good. Better than average for the area. Worth a trip for the view. Kids were fine. Decent kids' menu even though it is not online.

We enjoyed this quiet restaurant with the carrousel for our anniversary dinner. A crisp bottle of Reisling, very tasty crab cakes as our appetizer, delicious entrees (scallops on mushroom risotto & walleye on fettuccine with asparagus) - plus a yummy lavender creme brulee to finish the meal ("on the house" for our celebration)!
