Our family stayed in this gorgeous house for a belated Christmas celebration~it was perfect for us with our adult children to stay, and for our family in Duluth to gather there for meals. The house is a large very well-kept century old house, complete with a lovely clawfoot soaking tub in the upstairs bathroom~which I enjoyed every day! In warmer weather the enclosed front porch would be a great place for morning coffee. It was also wonderful to have laundry facilities to use in the house. Lake Superior is a short 3 minute walk away. The home owner, Kelley, is very kind and easy to communicate with. We will stay again!
We had a fantastic vacation! My girlfriend said out of the past 10 years that her family has done a family vacation this was the best. There is plenty to do in/around Duluth. The house was perfect and close enough to walk to a couple of places. With in walking distance I recommend the Aminty coffee shop as well as the New London Cafe. Our favorite place for ice cream or a malt was the Portland malt shoppe (there malts are amazing). The water was a little chilly on the lake but that's a normal julynfor Minnesota. Kelly was amazing, she made sure we had tissues, toilet paper, dish detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent, stain cleaner for the laundry and much more that I'm probably forgetting.
The house accommodated nine of us quite comfortably with vintage furnishings and a well-equipped modern kitchen, easily accessible to everything we wanted to see and do. Owner responded rapidly to suggestions. Recommend without hesitation.
