I noticed that another reviewer also commented on the hostess with purple hair. Our first encounter was her not acknowledging our arrival and literally turning away to walk somewhere into the restaurant to do something without saying a word to us. She returned and and sat us, but was so bland. Her apathy would have been enough to turn us away if we would have had to wait but there were tables available. Seriously, the managers here should consider the impression she is giving customers. It is a turnoff.
Thankfully that impression was erased by a pleasant server who answered questions and made recommendations for two of us that weren't very familiar with the menu.
The food was quick and very tasty and we enjoyed the experience.
We tried a tofu ginger rice bowl, yakisoba, robata, steamed buns, and bacon wrapped quail eggs. All were delicious - I wasn't a fan of the buns, too doughy for me, but they were my daughter's favorite.
