Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was very clean and bed comfy. Waffles for breakfast.Close to TC but far enough out to be peaceful and quiet. Gas station next door for morning fill up. Pretty good TV channel selection.

My friend and I stayed here while we visited Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. When we got to the room we each picked a bed and little did I know that night my bed was an old wire spring squeaky mattress, complete with lumps and every time I rolled around in bed all you could hear was squeak squeak, the flat worn pillows were just as bad. The air conditioner was on a timer and every 2 hours it would turn off, I was up and down all night trying to keep it cool in the room with out sweating. The front clerk told us the floors were just cleaned (cheap imitation ceramic) and the bottoms of our white socks were so dirty we just threw them away because we didn't think they would come clean. The continental breakfast was cheap cinnamon buns, water down milk and orange juice but the waffle maker was up and running and actually not bad. There was no attendant in the breakfast room and it showed, tables were dirty, floor had cereal spilled all over it and counters were messy. I would suggest find a different place to stay while in Traverse City. The only reason I gave it a 2 rating was the staff was very friendly and seemed to love their job.

Room Tip: Don't stay here !!

Thank you for choosing the Traverse City Econo Lodge. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your multiple night stay and that our breakfast of waffles, danishes, bagels, Quaker Instant Oatmeal, Cheerios, Raisin Bran, white and wheat bread and assorted beverages did not meet your needs. Best wishes in your future travels.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, nice tv, microwave and refrigerator. Staff were so friendly and loved my bulldog. The owners were incredible and I will be staying here as often as there is a dog show nearby. I loved the letter to my dog-what fun. There were clean wash cloths with a place to put dirty ones at every exit-WOW!!! There was a designated place to walk our dog with handy placed bags and disposal can there as well. This place, it's staff, and owners was a dream come true for dog owners. They had a nice continental breakfast that I enjoyed as well. Can't say enough good things about this place & staff!!!

Room Tip: Any room is great!

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to serve you and your bulldog. The weekend of the Grand Traverse Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show is our favorite weekend of the year and we are happy you stayed with us and that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again next year. And we do accept dogs year round, so if you are in the area sooner, please stop in and see us!

Our room was clean for a pet friendly room. Like that it had modern furniture and a laminate floor instead of carpet. The stairwell looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. Stayed two nights. The first night kids were running and squealing up and down the hallway repeatedly, keeping us awake. The toilet tipped when sitting on it and the bed was squeaky. We also had two burnt out light bulbs. Not sure we'd stay here again.

While the staff was very pleasant and helpful the building and rooms could use some upkeep..the stairway appeared to have salt pellets from winter...and it was July. The beds matress need to be replaced since when you lay in them your feet are well elevated...the price was reasonable for the area..just need to put a little elbow grease into it.

Thank you for allowing the pleasant and helpful staff of the Traverse City Econo Lodge an opportunity to serve you. Over this past winter, we replaced the carpeting in all of our guest rooms with luxury vinyl tile. All of our guest rooms also received new furniture, new lighting, new artwork and new draperies. Although our maintenance man shampoos the hallways on a regular basis, the high volume of traffic makes it difficult to keep up and we are anticipating replacement in the near future. We hope to see you again.
