Very clean, friendly employees, wonderful atmosphere, and lots of activities. The kids loved it! My only complaint is I wish they listed costs of the activities outside of the waterpark - either on their website or in the packet of information given to you when you check in. And I really wish they would inform guests that the MagicQuest activity takes 4 - 8 hours to complete. And that the wands can be used throughout the resort to make things light up and move. Had we known this, that would have been our first stop and not one of our last. I did love that all rooms have refridgerators and microwaves to help save on going out to eat so much. All in all, it was a fantastic time and we are trying to figure out when we can come back. We will be staying 2 nights next time!

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor (which is one floor down from main lobby). This floor is where the waterpark, arcade, kids spa, sweet shop and kids club are located. The main floor (2nd floor) has the front desk, lobby where storytime is held, restaurant and gift shop. The 3rd floor is a little busy with the MagicQuest and other activities right off the elevator. The 4th floor seemed pretty quiet.

We spent 1 night at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City. My 11 year old & six year old boys had a blast. The indoor water park is not the biggest, but its well maintained and the life-guards are alert.
The room was big and had a microwave and fridge. Food at the on-site restaurant was good but a little expensive. Lots of other things to do for kids - a big arcade, some kind of treasure hunt game in the hallways. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
The whole resort gets to be a little expensive, it's best to look for mid-week or off-season deals. Room rates for the Labor Day weekend was a bit steep - I dont think it was worth the premium price we paid.

Room Tip: Most rooms have balconies, but not much of a view any direction.

We spent 3 nights at Great Wolf Lodge with our son (2 years old) and daughter (3 years old). This is a very nice resort with a fantastic staff. The front desk staff was fabulous, they answered all of our questions and took care of any concerns that we had. They recommended great restaurants in town, which were high quality and catered to families with small children. We upgraded to a larger room (Kids’ Cabin) upon check-in at a very reasonable rate. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The amenities at this Great Wolf Lodge are extensive including mini-golf, spa, arcade, magic-quest, kids’ club and much more. We didn’t have enough time to try them all out but we are already looking forward to our next trip. The indoor water park is laid out nicely and well maintained. The outdoor pool area is exceptional, it includes a splash pad and basketball and volleyball areas. There is an outdoor bar and plenty of loungers to sit poolside. We highly recommend coming during the summer months to take full advantage of the outdoor activities. The breakfast buffet at the resort was good, nothing out of this world, but more than enough selection to appease most people. This is a great resort for families especially with younger children. Be sure to make time to check out Traverse City. There is so much to see and do. We are already planning our next trip.

I have seen many bad reviews about this resort. It was very clean. The room was ready on time and the front desk workers were extremely friendly. The stay was nice. It is has 3 water slides for older kids, lazy river, hot tub, pool for playing basketball and swimming, and a climbing structures with 2 kiddie/adult slides. It is a great place to stay for a couple of days, but the older kids will get bored. The outdoor pool is average with basketball hoops. We had a relaxing getaway that the family did enjoy. There was a microwave and frig in the room so we were able to pack food which allowed saving money. There were high cost activities to do at the lodge, but we did not participate. The cost was $55 per child and we had 5 kids with us.

Stayed here on our last night in T.C. It was a bit expensive, so we didn't stay for our whole vacation, but this room was much better than the cheaper hotel we stayed in on the other nights. The room was very upscale-feeling, it had a cute balcony to sit on, and was very roomy. We took two boys, my son and his friend who are both 12. They loved the water park (which they could visit alone at their age) but most of the other activities were below their age group. They were dying to pour cash into the arcade, but I limited them on that. All of the other activities, kiddie spa, magic wand game, story time in the lobby, were mostly for younger kids or for girls. I do want to visit a Great Wolf Lodge again, but will probably stay in the one in Ohio, which is closer to my house and the prices were a little lower than the T.C. location.
