Being on the top floor of the Park Place Hotel, this is one of the tallest places in all of Downtown Traverse City. When getting off the elevator, it is nothing to write home about. To one side, there's an empty banquet room that looks more like a storage area. I'm guessing they leave the room open for people to observe the view, but there were a couple banquet tables without chairs and some boxes just laying around in the room, making it look like it should have been off limits.
Walking into the bar, there is a glass door that is propped open, but has a sign on it saying Closed. It gives the wrong impression to anyone walking in. It looks like the sign is there for when they close the door, but it would make more sense to hide it behind the bar instead of placing it on the door where your patrons have to walk through.
The drinks were delicious and had several cocktails on the menu along with several liquors available for the bartender to whip something up on demand. Being able to sit along the window and have a drink while looking out over the city makes this place incredible. Like the hotel, a few small housekeeping issues could make this place something that people would love to come to.
