My husband and I and a group of friends decided to try this place on a Friday night. Since our group was fairly large, we inquired re: reservations, and were told it'd be no problem. (Initial reservations were made one-week in advance, for a VERY early dinner so as to "beat the crowds.") Reservations were confirmed mid-week, and again the morning of our planned get-together. Our ENTIRE group was on hand five-minutes before our 5:00 p.m. reservations, which we had been assured would be no problem. We checked-in with the individual with whom we made, checked, and double-checked our reservations. The owner/manager was standing next to her.
We then proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait to be seated, becoming more and more agitated as time passed and we stood idly by in the lobby.

FINALLY, after TWENTY MINUTES -- with no apology for the delay whatever -- we were seated.

What then evolved was a 2-1/2 hour (!) debacle of waiting for drinks, waiting for our orders to be taken, waiting for our food to arrive, waiting for our dessert orders to be taken, waiting for our bills to be distributed, and waiting for said bills 2-B picked-up for payment and then returned for signature!

(As an aside, orders for two drinks were overlooked, as were two (2) dinners.)

While the food served was satisfactory, the lack of timely service wasn't!

This restaurant is well known in the area. Prior reviews, for the most part, speak well for the place. What we encountered service-wise, however, was abomidable!

A three-hour dinner experience?!

We were pleased with our visit to Antonio's. We both ordered pasta with the meat sauce. It was a sweet sauce but not over sweet. The pasta was fresh and cooked well. I had the minestrone soup and was pleased with it. The vegetables were a good texture with just a little crunch that showed they were not overcooked. The bread was tasty and my husband said the meatball was too. The service was decent - not great, but adequate. There is also a good selection of wine by the glass and they also offer a 9 oz glass. A good experience overall and we will be back.

We have been here before and this time around, we had the Lasagna and Pollo Rustica. The Polla was good but the Lasagna had a weird taste to it. Something about the sauce. It almost tasted burnt. Our friend also got a pasta dish and could not eat it due to the bad taste. We were there late, around 8pm, and we had the slowest waitress. Maybe she had a tiring day, I don't know, but it was embarrassing as we brought people here for their first time, and believe me they were not impressed. My hubby ordered a Martini and when it came, there were no olives in it. When he inquired, she said you have to ask for them. For a Martini?????? We never heard of such a thing. Something was way off that night. I am reluctant to return.

Excellent Italian food, nicely prepared and served. The servers are like in the movies! White aprons over dress shirts and black pants.
