The grounds outside are nice and the house is warmly decorated. Our room was way too warm. Thank goodness for the ceiling fan. The location is handy to get to the downtown and the beach. Breakfast was sufficient along with muffins and sweets.

Thanks for your input. Sorry the room wasn't cool enough for you. I wish you had mentioned to us during your visit. I could have been as simple as opening the registers. Generally we keep it quite cool on the hotter days of the season.

We are drawn to South Haven and the Inn at the Park, seems like we visit here every year or so. The accommodations are wonderful, the location, comfort of the room , staff and delicious breakfasts keep us returning. We can not say enough about this Inn, already looking forward to our next visit.

We stumbled upon this gem while traveling up the west side of Michigan after visiting friends in New Buffalo. It's a close walk to everything South Haven has to offer. The Inn is as charming as its owners
Clean, tastefully decorated, great outdoor area to sit and relax while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee before a delicious breakfast. This is a must stay when visiting South Haven!

We stayed in the Hawthorn room and loved it! We especially enjoyed the attached porch. We were able to buy some cheese bought from the South Haven farmers' market, then enjoyed a wonderful morning at the beach (only two blocks away!), then sat on the porch attached to our room and enjoyed some champagne and cheese. Everything is South Haven was within walking distance. It was a lovely, comfortable room, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Can't wait to stay here again!

The Hawthorn is a favorite for many. You can watch the world go by while sipping on the wine. I think you had the right idea!!!

We were so happy with our stay at the Inn at the Park. Our room, the Sycamore, was beautiful and very comfortable. Everything at the Inn was spotless and decorated exquisitely. Each room was so relaxing to be in. The location could not be more ideal. A short walk in one direction to the beach and a few blocks to downtown. It's impossible to find parking in the summer so being able to leave the car and walk everywhere was great. The Inn is right by the Maritime Marine Museum that has numerous boat rides on both the river and on the lake on a majestic tall ship. It's also right by the drawbridge which is fun to watch the boat traffic. Probably a 2 minute walk! Great location! The breakfast was delicious and Kevin and Judy graciously served us. Lemonade, coffee and iced tea are available throughout the day as well as some baked goods. I need to find out from Carol Ann where she gets the Ambrosia tea from! Never cared for iced tea before tasting hers...amazing! Oh, and the grounds are gorgeous. Flowers galore, landscaping, small waterfall, outdoor fireplace, it's a true retreat. I never like to stay anywhere twice because I prefer to go to new places and try new things. But I will return to the Inn at the Park because it was just so nice. (I just have to mention that my husband complained that the batteries were dead in the remote and he couldn't watch TV. I was glad! Ha!) I highly recommend this delightful bed and breakfast.

Our Ambrosia tea is getting to be a rather popular thing around here. BTW...We have a drawer full of batteries so that could have been easily remedied but it sounds like you found a belter solution. LOL
