The property itself is nice. Stayed in the Galien Suite. There was considerable snowfall while we were there and while the porch was salted, the sidewalks were not. I realize in an area with a lot of lake effect snow it's not possible to do so constantly, but it seemed lacking.
We checked in late and didn't see the innkeeper until we left.
Do also be aware of the policies regarding charging of room costs.

This being said, the innkeeper was receptive to my concerns and I would recommend it overall. Just understand that it's not a bed and breakfast, which I knew.

Thank you for staying with us! Yes we had a crazy amount of snow fall in a short period of time! Love the snow and the Lake Effect can be so unpredictable but that's why being close to Lake Michigan makes it also so charming and at the same time it can also be so inconvenient too! We have a snow removal company and they did have a hard time keeping up that day... We are sorry the walkway wasn't cleared sooner.
For Inn Rooms we do have a breakfast basket that can be ordered to put in the room for our guests, it can be ordered online or when making a reservation by phone too.
Thanks again for staying with us and we look forward to having you back again!

We had a home rented in the area and got cancelled on last minute. I called all around and Linda at the Inn was MORE than accommodating to us. The location is great. You're a 4 minute car ride from the beach or a 15 minute walk. The Captain Whitiker suite was clean and had all the essentials we would need. You're a short stroll from the main street that rolls through downtown and features restaurants and coffee shops. It was a fantastic stay and we will definitely return.

We stayed in the Galien Suite, really an apartment. The spa in the bedroom is different than the standard hotel Jacuzzi, being side-by-side facing opposite directions. The shower is amazing, multiple shower heads. The kitchen was well-equipped, gas fireplace in the living room. The garden is lovely, the suite has a private deck with umbrella table. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean. We will be back!

Spent 2 nights over Memorial weekend. Room was very clean, shower and tub were amazing! Stayed in one night and cooked dinner kitchen was amply stocked with supplies to cook with. Only thing I can suggest is as a tea drinker if they could have a few teabags along with the little basket of coffee.

We loved our stay in the Goodrich room. I felt the pictures online didn't do it justice. It was very clean, warm, inviting, and comfortable. The room featured a quaint, cozy atmosphere and provided a kitchenette, equipped with most of the basic essentials you would need to prepare a smaller meal. The bathroom was spacious, with a very nice jacuzzi tub and a gorgeous shower that offered extra spray jets, delivering a very therapeutic experience. The king-sized bed was also very comfortable. We had dinner across the street at El Rancho Grande, and it was a delicious meal with a great margarita, too.

Shortly after we checked in, we had appointments for a massage. I received the hot stone massage and it was great. Very relaxing and soothing. Lisa did a great job.

I'd definitely like to to back, but probably during the summer next time. We really wanted to go see the lake, but the cold kept us indoors.

We had lots of fun. Can't wait to get back!
