its not a 5 star hotel, so dont think your getting a 5 star property for under 30 bucks, if you want a fancier place then go spend 100 bucks a night on one. This little place is a good value for a cheap place to stay. the location is good, the place is clean but basic. Its a very basic hotel, but for the price you can't beat it. Amazes me how many cheapskates book cheap hotels and then complain that its not the ritz carleton. Stay here as long as your expectations are to get an affordable basic accomodations.
We stayed here two nights and had an eventful time. Firstly León is great, plenty to do and see.
This hotel has seen better days. Our bedside lamps didn’t work and no hot water. We also had a blocked toilet that flooded the entire room and out onto the balcony. The owner was very helpful and immediately moved us rooms but this had a leak under the sink and holes in the bed sheets.
Slightly disappointed to not hear this infamous cockerel as many reviewers had written of, perhaps it met its match! You can hear school children as next door to a school but that wasn’t too loud.
Nice terrace upstairs but super windy so couldn’t really spend much time up there.

This is a very basic hotel with basic amenities. The room was clean but the sink leaked and the sheets were shabby. It was inexpensive and felt safe. The staff was friendly and the breakfast in the morning was satisfactory. The AC in the room worked. It's quaintness outside is better than the rooms but the location is good. We were able to walk to many of the area attractions.
I've visited them with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway, if you're visiting Leon THIS is the place to stay. It's a very nice hotel, perfect for your Budget, rooms are nice and comfy, you have A/C if you can't cope with Leon's heat and if you need anything the very owners assist you even if you ask for directions (believe me, we got lost several times haha). It's so heartwarming! don't to to Leon to stay in a fancy expensive place, you go for adventure and the great thing about this hotel is that is so close to the Leon's cathedral's and some other churches, so you can easy go site seeing. Also the have a great terrace at the top of the hotel where you can chill as sun goes down. I had a great time.
for the price ... it felt like i got cheated on the room .... the bathroom door didn't shut because the door was too big and it close 80% with a 2in gap.... there no hot water but i didn't notice because it was so so hot and humid
