I highly recommend Harvest House to any traveler who will be in Leon for weeks to months. Jason and staff are friendly and relaxed, easily available but not overly involved. Very easy to communicate with. Location is 15 minutes walking from the center of Leon and is close to mercardo San Juan and many superb restaurants and several grocery stores. Feels safe and secure and is in a quiet area. Spaces are clean and as described, housekeeping comes twice a week. Bed is descent. Garden rooms and rooms with AC are a fantastic value. Sometimes shower in upper floors has no water pressure at peak hours but it usually returned within half an hour. Wifi is quick and works in all rooms. Community spaces and garden are beautiful and make the property a true gem.

Most people are staying here for several months for internships or volunteering, making it the perfect place for a longer term stay. You can be social and make friends but can also do your own thing. Harvest House made my experience in Leon great.

If there was a word to describe this place, it would be homie. I've stay here plenty of times and every time I come back it feels like I've never left. Jason and his staff are caring and super nice, always making sure your time there is comfortable and just what you need.

The Harvest House owned by an American and his Nicaraguan wife is an oasis in the midst of a busy small-town type of city: Leon. Jason was so friendly, helpful and accomodating. He takes a special interest in all of his guests who are mostly backpackers, students and just plain travelers like myself. I stayed there for 2 months on 2 separate occasions and found everything to be well taken care of and comfortable. There is a large kitchen where everyone has a space in the refrigerator and the cupboard and can cook meals whenever they wish to. It is within walking distance of at least 2 grocery stores, some parks, churches and restaurant bars. Security is very good and everyone feels safe. I would highly recommend this extremely affordable living arrangement whether you are staying a few days, weeks or months.
