I have been coming to Nicaragua for 20 years and this is my first trip to Leon. The area is much cheaper than in the south and I think is clearly on the upswing. This hotel is in a good location and offers secure parking which is huge. Also, the breakfast is good. The rooms are non-descript and the shower seemed to spray everywhere. But for the price I would definitely stay here again.More

Taking safety measures
Very nice place inside a old Spanish colonial building right next to a park and church. A little grocery store around the corner. Very firendly staff with included breakfast. Very safe. Very quiet. Loving it

It was a great place to stay, cozy hotel, the staff was so nice and welcomed us even that we didn’t have any reservation. Room was comfortable, hot water and AC worked well, comfortable beds. Breakfast didn’t have many options, but it had good taste, great fruit and juices.

I stayed here recently for a couple of nights. It was a nice hotel with a courtyard area and free breakfast. If you keep an eye out you might notice the turtles in the courtyard! The room was spacious and the shower had hot water. The bed was very comfortable too. The only downside was that you could hear too easily the people in the neighbouring room. The hotel is in a good location, only a few blocks away from the town centre.

Yo estoy bastante satisfecho con mi estancia en la Posada del Doctor. It’s a good value for the price. I highly recommend it. The room is comfortable, there is a beautiful garden, they serve good breakfasts.

I stayed here 1 night while on an organised tour. Quaint central courtyard with rooms arranged around it. Comfortable, clean, quiet room, AC, wifi. Good location, 10-15min walk from main Cathedral. Simple breakfast available.
