We checked into the motel which doesn't look bad from far away. When we went up to the second story, the side was covered in some sort of dead bug/bird poop sludge. We got into our room and were immediately hit in the face with hot, stale air. We opened the windows and the sliding glass door. The blinds fell right off as soon as we tried to open them. The chairs on the balcony were covered with bird poop and spiders and webs were EVERYWHERE!
The room seemed clean enough, except for the mirror which clearly needed to be cleaned.
We had to call to get the wifi password. The wifi would not connect to our iPhones, but did connect to an android. It was so bad that our android user disconnected. The staff were not friendly. I greeted several with a smile and good morning and got looked at like I was the craziest person alive.
The pool and hot tub.....Pool is opened until 10. We went at 9pm to unwind. It was dark and we figured lights were on motion detectors. Nope. No lights at all. Went to get in the hot tub anyway. Water was so low it didn't cover the jets and was sucking air the whole time. The water was tepid and we decided to leave.
The continental breakfast......not sure which continent we were eating from! The room was excessively hot and apparently windows are not allowed open.
Tupperware with powdered donuts
Rubbermaid, you know the boxes that are not airtight used to store things, is where the stale bagels and slices of bread were. Another Rubbermaid housed some sort of unidentifiable Muffin.
Three toasters - 2 of which had paper towels over the side to indicate not to use. One pot of stale coffee.
The "juice" machine supposedly had two different kind of juice, which i deduced from the look of the food wasn't going to be any better, was an over watered down Hi-C kind of juice my kid refused to drink. No water, no milk.
They had no cereal, no fruit.
The young gentleman who was overseeing the "buffet" literally stood over the patrons and watched to make sure you only took 1 bagel or 2 bread slices. My daughter tried to take 2 of the mini powdered donuts and was told no by the food guard. She got 1!
The check out was not very warm. We walked in and the lady stuck her hand out, we placed the key in it and left. No, "thanks", no "how was your stay?" Just don't let the door hit ya in the rear on the way out.
Do yourself a favor and just don't stay here!

We came in from Utah and stayed here 2 nights. Where to begin? Blinds = broken; TV remote = not working; pillows are twisted masses of lumps; beach = disgustingly filled with goose droppings that are not cleaned up; breakfast = broken toaster, juice machine broken, only coffee to drink and no water, milk, or hot water (even though they had packages of oatmeal.....you could not make it). The only thing they had were mini doughnuts and bagels. We asked for water and the oriental young man looked at us and didn't speak English; On the outside of the building, bugs were on everything (spiders, flies, mayflies, and others), cobwebs everywhere. When we plugged in the blow dryer in the morning it tripped all the breakers in one half of the building and we had to ask the main office to reset it General disrepair and obviously no maintenance or upgrading of anything. On their website there are 21 pictures and NOT ONE is of the inside of the rooms......that should tell you something. About 10 min after we entered the room, we asked the front desk for a refund and they would not give it to us. Run....don't walk! This place is terrible. The sad part is, it has potential since it has a great view of the bridge.

Room Tip: I would NEVER stay in this place again!

Gross tenements run by slum-lords. Disgusting and dirty, I'd rather sleep on the beach. Seriously this place is a rat-hole. Last minute stay as all hotels booked-checked in, checked out 5 minutes later. Bring a tent to stay in instead. If you like hairs on your pillow cases and sheets and rooms that look like they haven't been slept in since 1975, then this place is your dream.

We stayed here for one night while passing through town. The hotel is modest but clean. Staff was very friendly. If you love falling to sleep to the sound of the Lake Huron waves lapping the shore, you'll enjoy your stay. Some improvements have been made and they are still in the process of renovating. The views of the lake and bridge compensated for the older furnishings. The bathroom was large and very clean. We'll stay here again!

Where to begin! This place is disgusting! The outside is awful. Geese poop everywhere you can't even walk to the water. It's highly unsanitary! The so called beach is a joke. Nasty 2 foot wide sand area, riddled with seaweed and goose poop and rocky water. Bugs all over the outside of the building that a good power wash could take care of. The inside eww eww!! Walls had dead bugs killed on them and not cleaned up. Beds are old, bedding is nasty, pillows are twisted lumps and rooms reek from stale mold and cigarette smell. Tried to open the blinds that were missing 3 panels already and another one falls off. Tried to get our money back after a half hour of being there cause I was so disgusted and the rude Jamaican owner would not refund. I'm sure she didn't want to loose the money as I was staying with family and she would of lost 3 rooms for 2 nights. Oh and the TV remotes did not work in any of the rooms and their useless maintenance man had no idea how to fix them. The "breakfast" is a joke. Nasty coffee, no juice, milk or water. Miniature powder sugar donuts, bread and bagels. Yep that's it! At $160 a night this place is a joke! Run as fast as you can! And as a warning they own all 3 motels in a row so don't go today of them.
