Several choices of seating types. Perfect for us in the enclosed and bright high tables ‘outside’. Quiet, cheerful. Host was helpful in getting us the right table and sending our friend back to meet us when she arrived. Waitress Hannah was awesome- friendly, helpful, great service, and interesting. Beer was great. Food was great. Love the fresh and local. Good, generous servings. Dessert was tasty although bit small, especially the miniature ice cream scoop with the mini cherry tart. Great parking in lot and on street. Great area for walking.

Not being a beer drinker, so I am not going to comment other than to say the other 5 people I was with thought it was great. Service was awesome and so willing to help explain and try to direct us to beers to our tasting. Pretzel with bar cheese was great. I had a smoked chicken entree that was too over cooked but everyone else really liked what they had. It has a great atmosphere and had a fun vibe.

Very cool brewery. Used to be a funeral chapel in 1918, then turned into a daycare and then the Brewery Vivant in 2010. I enjoyed all their beers, BUT the beer Formosa was the absolute best. Tasted just like a Mimosa, I could drink that all day, every day. Unfortunately, they were running low and no growlers or howlers were being sold on that particular beer. I heard from the surrounding beersters that the food was awesome. We only stayed for the beer. I had a flight. Atmosphere lovely, staff fantastic! Parking is free and in the back.

We were here recently for an AARP event. We had a lot of fun conversing with others at the Brew event held by AARP. Everyone seemed to like their beers, seeing how they all asked for refills. Fun local hangout.

Excellent beer, great food, awesome staff and cool architecture. Brewery Vivant is one place not to be missed for the craft beer fan on a trip to Grand Rapids. Just a $10 uber ride from downtown but a huge change from the hustle and bustle of Major breweries.
