This place is absolutely AMAZING. There are no words to adequately describe how flawless our experience was here. Exactly what you want from a spa break and more. Myself and 3 friends came for a birthday spa day back in May, we did the patisseries spa day package which included afternoon tea, spa use and a treatment each. I literally could not find a single fault if I tried. The location is beautiful surrounded by green open fields and the buildings are just as beautiful. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by the staff. As we were running a little late we called ahead and they were really accommodating allowing us to have our food first so we didn't miss any spa time. We had our afternoon tea out on the patio overlooking the picturesque view and it was perfect. The food was lovely and there was plenty of it. Once we had finished one of the lovely members of staff showed us to our changing rooms and explained how to work the lockers etc. First of all, unlike many other spas, we were given our own individual changing room. Each changing room included a large shower stocked with organic products for you to use and your own dressing table with a nice chair and a mirror. It was so lovely to start the day by having the privacy of your own changing room instead of trying to get changed in a small wet cubicle or sharing a room with strangers. Afterwards I was able to get a shower and use the products available, to my delight they even include a Parlux hair drier in the dressing table drawers for you to use which I was really impressed with. These are the hair driers used in most hair salons and are not cheap, and although it is just a hair drier it reinforced to me how there is no expense spared on their part to make you feel well looked after. We were given robes, flip flops and as many towels as we needed in the spa. The lockers were another nice touch, they were spacious and you used your own digital code to lock and unlock so no need to carry a key around for the day. The relaxation room is beautiful the decor is really tasteful and the huge windows allow you to look out at the view. There are a wide variety of complimentary herbal teas etc left out for you to help yourself. The spa itself is amazing, it's small but not cramped. It felt really personal and there were only a couple of other people in there which was really nice. Again huge windows looking out are a really nice touch. The facilities are the best I've ever used and I've been to many different spas across the country. The massage we all received was amazing, the facilities in the treatment rooms are the best I've seen. The massage beds are heated which felt amazing. All in all, this is the best spa I've ever been to it is well worth every penny. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We are hoping to return for an an overnight spa break soon.

My daughter got married at Stanley House in December 2015. This place is amazing for weddings, the staff just go the extra mile to make it a day to remember. Extra praise has to go to Megan and Ben and the lad behind the bar in The Stables. I cannot praise them enough.
People who came are still talking about it now in February.
If your looking for a wedding venue, you won't find anywhere better than this!!
Thank you everyone at Stanley House.

Room tip: Best rooms are in the Manor House 6,7 and 8

It was incredibly difficult to leave this place ! We had an overnight stay which included a two hour thermal journey in the spa followed by a massage. The facilities in the spa were excellent, relaxing and serene. Both the Finnish sauna and the pool area had huge picture windows offering vistas of the surrounding countryside. We were pampered by the staff and found the whole experience totally de stressing.
We chose a room in the old Manor house. It was large and well appointed with views over the manicured formal gardens. The food in Mr Fred's was exceptional both for dinner and breakfast with the evening meal enhanced by a choice from their signature Gin cabinet.
We hope to return soon to try out some more spa treatments.

I was treated by my wife to a stay at Stanley House and Spa which included a 3 course dinner in Mr Freds, a nights stay in the Woodlands room, breakfast and a 2 hour visit to the Thermal Spa.

I can honestly say it was perfect from start to finish and I normally find to moan about!

The meal was lovely, service first class in a friendly ambient atmosphere, the decor is very quirky but done to such great taste.

The rooms were clean and spacious with all the facilities you'd expect.

Breakfast - delicious

Spa - One of the best Spa's I've been to, service and reception first class, facilities first class and they keep numbers down so it's never crowded. You do need to book your slot though so don't miss out.

Would I go back - Most certainly!

Perfection all the way, from the contemporary furnishings and the renovated Manor House that blend seemlesly to create a luxurious haven, we couldn't fault any part of our stay.
We were so lucky to have been randomly allocated the Bridal Suite room 7 for our one night dbb stay but it has surely spoilt us for any other stay.
The suite was huge, warmly welcoming with a double bath and separate double shower in the large en suite, two sofas and a coffee table along with mirrored bedroom furniture and massive canopied bed ( which was like sleeping on a cloud, with luxury linen & pillow menu ) and three large windows with beautiful views still left plenty of floor space and we didn't really want to leave it.
We were however tempted out to use the bookings only two hour allocation spa facilities of a thermal hydrotherapy pool for a small number of guests at a time. Four different sauna/ steam experiences along with ice station and shower menus completed the treat with warm relaxing beds all were devine.
Our three course meal later was a joy, relaxed unrushed service, gorgeous local produce and stunningly presented we savoured every mouthful.
Breakfast the next morning was to the same high standard with food cooked to order and plenty of choice.
The whole stay was so peacefully quiet and the staff were so attentive without being intrusive. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend it.

Room tip: There are manor house rooms and an annexe of woodland rooms to chose from.
