We chose this hotel because it was a good location for walking to all the downtown shops and restaurants and because it was about $20 - $30 cheaper than the other hotels that also have a good downtown location. Staff was very friendly and our King Room was clean. No counter space in the sink area for your toiletries but they have a large area near the full length mirror which served this purpose for me. The shower seems to have been newly renovated as it was large with lovely rounded doors and a ledge to sit and shave your legs :-) We have stayed all over the U.S. with this level of hotel and this was by far one of the best if not the best breakfast. The attendant was fabulous actually "working" the waffle machine at one point to keep the line moving. I wish I would have gotten her name but she was the breakfast staff on Feb 16 and 17. Both scrambled eggs and cheese omelet were available and ham or sausage. Fresh cut fruit always makes me happy.

Well... I've stayed in better and I have stayed in worse...

The hotel was clean and bright when we arrived. The front desk was less than inviting but I worked around it. Maybe she had just worked a very long day.

We got checked in and went up to our room. The room was clean and spacious but freezing!!! No heat was on in the room and it took a very long time to warm up.

Kinda unacceptable in December to walk into a freezing room after traveling... What do you think Fairfield?

The heater is a through the wall electric model as in most hotels but cold air leaked in all around the unit causing it to run constantly all weekend... I had to wrap towels around the unit and wedge them under it because the floor and west side of the room was very cold even with the heater running non stop...

Well then we get to the pool... Nice, clean, not many towels. It looked like a quiet place to relax... signs were posted everywhere... no diving...
There was another family quietly enjoying the pool and they were very nice.

Then another lady and some older children came to the pool area. Instatally started screaming and cannon balling into the pool splashing everyone and everyone's clothes and belongings... A while the female chaperone gazed into her iPad, not a care in the world...

Many people asked the person teens to stop diving and cannonballing into the pool. They would stop for a few minutes then return to the same behavior...

A man was there with his son and one girl dived right over the man and struck the young boy in the shoulder. He was not hurt but we were all surprised at the level of disrespect and very low level of "parental involvement"

The chaperone was very upset when numerous people asked her to control the children. Having had enough, I went to the front desk but alas no one was there...

So I returned to the pool but the same behavior was occuring so we decided to depart the pool area and sleep in our drafty room...

Then breakfast time... Wow what a disaster... The food was good but getting to it was like trying to nudge into a hoard of feeding Lions...

This breakfast set up they have was designed to fail from the beginning.

Again food was warm and arranged very well. It actually was very tasty... Just get there early. Very early! Like 6am ish I guess...

I went there early with the intention of taking our food back to the room... Kinda breakfast in bed but the people flooded in and ruined the experience...

All in all it was a nice trip to Frankenmuth. But this hotel needs to come up with a few solutions for the pool and breakfast area.

The hotel can't police everything and no one wants that in there lives... but, with the amount of cameras in the pool area and when numerous hotel employees walk by the pool area and see the going on... And patrons of the pool area go to the front desk and ask about behavior that is posted with signs not to be violated... no one is there...

And hopefully those signs were read by the children and the parent who I know were considerably old enough to read the signs... no one responded to anyone's request or came to the pool area to remedy the situation in any way... The people should have been asked to leave the pool area because they were completely disrespectful and they were either going to hurt themselves or someone else.

Bad parenting and disrespectful people are not the hotels fault in any way... But they do have a responsibly toward the safety of their guests.

Again all in all it was a good trip and I would return to this hotel but would hope they come up with a remedy to these issues in the meantime.

I requested a Pack N Play or crib for my baby when making a reservation and a high floor far from the elevator. They gave me exactly what I wanted. And inside the Pack N Play was a cute little stuffed animal tucked into a blanket. It was so sweet! The staff also accommodated my request for a late check out.
The location is ideal: right across from the brewery and wedding chapel and right on Main Street so you can easily walk to the shops and Zehnders!

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of the month and glad we did. We stayed on the third floor and it was so quiet. We stayed a Sunday to Tuesday and you could barely tell anyone else was in the hotel. They have complimentary breakfast every morning with a variety of items to chose from. We used the workout room in our stay which had free weights and treadmill, also an elliptical. For the room we had a king size bed that was very comfortable. I can’t complain it was so quiet and relaxing for our short stay and would stay here again because it’s walking distance to a lot and the staff are very nice.
