First time at this resort. Heard both good and bad. From check in to check out our stay was enjoyable. The front desk people were very pleasant and helpful. Many things to do but we just golfed. Room was clean and well decorated. Only bad thing was the pool had too much chlorine and burned my eyes. Will definitely go back!!

Three couples traveling together. Very disappointed that some of our rooms were updated and very nice and others were not. Our room was very dark (felt like we were in a cave), older bathroom fixtures, wall lamp next to bed did not work. Had to unscrew lightbulbs at night. Had desk clerk look at it...after several tries she did get it to work but said maintenance would look at it. They never came.

Toliet handle did not work properly and bathroom door would swing out of control and CLUNK against wall everytime it was opened. No hooks or countertops in bathroom. Did not like that we paid the same amount for a worn out-of-date room but others in our party had new updated ones. Walls are very thin and you can hear the water running and toilets flushing in the next room.

There is a upstairs gathering room but it was in need of a complete cleaning. The kitchen area countertops were not wiped clean the entire time we were there and the overall room is in need of a thorough cleaning. Bikes were promised but we were told they were "out for maintenance." Firepit is provided but you have to purchase your own wood, which is not available at the resort.
Restuarents were both closed .. disapponting. If you make a reservation, request a newly renovated room. Probably will not go back. Staff seems a little confused and not extremely helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for recently updated room. Ask if restaurents are open yet.

My family booked this resort for a family get together 5 months in advance. Therefore, we thought planning this far in advance, we would all be able to have rooms near each other. NOPE. Not the case. They had us scattered all over the resort. On previous family get togethers here, they were able to put us all in rooms right near each other. Not sure why this was so hard for them to arrange this time. We were staying for a 3 day weekend in July 2017. Was told via email 2 weeks prior to our trip that the resort had 10 bikes available for use. However, upon arrival, we were told there were no bikes at all for our use. Needless to say, our group was very disappointed because if we had known there were no bikes, we would have brought our own. We were aware of the trails to ride on, as we have stayed here previously and used the bikes. So none of us were able to enjoy bike rides on this trip. Our room was outdated. It did NOT have a flat screen TV as they advertise. It had about a 15" old school TV in the room. VERY OUTDATED! Also, in July, it seems like the beds should have something other than WOOL blankets on them. Who uses wool blankets in the summer? They should be changed out for something lighter and more comfortable for summer weather. Another thing that needs to be updated are the chairs by the pool area, which are hard metal and need some type of cushions on them, especially the chaise lounges. They are NOT comfortable for laying around the pool on without a cushion on them.
We did enjoy the volleyball court, the tennis courts, the sauna, and we LOVED the great room at night for our entire group to be able to get together to eat, play games, play cards, etc..

Brought my leadership team to Drummond Island Resort for a two day offsite meeting. If your team needs a productive meeting place, THIS IS IT!! Amy arranged for a private plane out of Pontiac Airport using Oakland Air. The flight was less than an hour and the resort was there to pick us up. After a quick tour they prepared a fantastic lunch and we went to work in a designated area. The natural vibe of this place and the fresh air had all of us extremely productive. We played a late round of golf at the end of the day then the chef prepared a unbelievable dinner for us. It was fantastic! Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Next day after half day of meetings, we rode ATVs and did some clay pigeon shooting. We were all back home by dinner time. Best offsite ever! Amy and the staff will handle everything. Thank you all so much. We will be back!!

I think weather is everything up on Drummond Island. We planned a weekend getaway to this resort and it was unseasonably rainy and chilly. We made the best of it, but waterfront sports and cycling were not much of an option. It seems that if you are a 4-wheel off-road enthusiast that this place is popular. We are not. The lodge was clean and the room was decorated in a beautiful lodge style. We opted to eat out in the "town" but not too many options. So walks on the waterfront and cups of coffee filled our time. We did not eat or stay in the cabins on the waterfront although they looked very nice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road at the entrance of the resort. There is a parking lot across the street for ATV's and it is quite loud.
