We stayed at the resort for two nights. The resort staff was really great and helpful. You can tell they are taking time to make significant improvements. Rooms appeared recently remodeled, nice flooring etc. and were very clean. My only complaint was the bed. For us, they were way too hard and the mattress just needed to be replaced, our daughter even complained. Their restaurant was being remodeled and should be a great addition to the facilities, as the island has limited options for food. I asked and they were looking at about a month out, opening late July- early august.

We brought our own bikes, but they had some to use. I really liked that they didn't charge for the bikes and kayaks that were available for guest use and were all in good condition. We enjoyed a nice bike ride around the grounds (it's a bit hilly!), and used the kayaks for a few hours one day. Loved the options available. We didn't use the ORV park or shooting range, but we did enjoy the golf course. We are not golfers, per say, so our technical game opinion is limited, but the course was simply beautiful. Along the trails we saw deer so close, amazing views, and such a calm peaceful environment.

We ate at Northwoods and Chucks place. The breakfast at Northwoods was terrific! And I recommend a stop at the teepee across the street before going home.

If you are looking for a nice up north retreat, this is a great place to visit!

My new favorite destination. In fact we might be getting married there, very private and the food is the best I've ever had, amazing staff! We flew in on king air , 55min flight. Private BBQ with Chef, best hotdogs and hamburgers ever. Must see this place to believe it! Going to try to make it at least once or twice a month for the amazing golf course.

Had a great day on the island. Played "The Rock" golf course, truly beautiful terrain, didn't see a house for all 18 holes. Also had a fun ATV experience, I recommend taking a guide, there are 115 miles of trails on the island. Fun destination

Went for two days. Played golf at a beautiful course. Hidden gem. Went atv riding which I have done all over the world and this could be the best trails I have ever experienced. Skeet shooting was literally a "blast"!! Followed that up with an amazing meal that could be one of the best restaurants in all of Michigan. Period. The staff was great, they couldn't do enough for us!! Get there as soon as you can!!

What a great resort to get away to. Looking forward to coming back. The food was amazing. First time on ATV's what a blast. This is a must trip with any family or definitely a work retreat get away. And how could I forget the fishing and boating around the island. I've never seen a sunset like this before
