This place is a bit small, so we had to wait for a table, it was worth it. The beer and the pizza were very good. In fact the, The Godfather, was outstanding! Would definitely recommend this place if you love beer and pizza!

Pizza was excellent! We got the BBQ chicken, the Godfather, and Pear and Fig, all were super tasty! And beers were solid and the whole place had a good atmosphere to meet up and talk with friends!

We were exploring the area (including the Shinola store, across the street) and were craving a beer. Ended up at Motor City.

We enjoyed our time there. The bartender was super-nice and could not have been more personable our helpful (while avoiding being intrusive). He let us try four beers before we ordered--a nice touch that showed he really wanted us to enjoy our visit. The menu had a wide selection of beers on-tap plus a few 'special' beers available in bottles.

We enjoyed our beers. The Ghettoblastter, an English-style mild ale with a reddish color, was very drinkable--good body, but not overpowering, perfect for the afternoon. The Nut Brown Ale had slightly stronger hops than a lot of other beers in that category and a really malty start.

Slightly hungry, we ordered the artichoke dip. This was an unexpected delight--we expected something really cheesy with a couple of canned artichokes. Instead we got something that had some really great flavor nuance--artichoke in every bite, some nice spice.

An enjoyable visit! Would definitely return.
