They have a small parking lot but a large dining area. My group ordered a platter that fed “six” for $100.00. There were eight of us and no one left hungry. I would definitely go again.

What a treat, food was excellent! Beware : portions are big, you will not leave this place hungry! Falafels were excellent, as well as baba ganoush, hummus etc..Salads complementing the main dishes were also very good and fresh Good and prompt service..We picked this restaurant after reading an article putting it in the top middle eastern restaurants in the US: try it you will not be disappointed!

There are tons of delicious options for meat-free eaters here. My favorite was the hummus and fried eggplant. The pita was good and the grape leaves were solid. Overall the food was good but nothing mind-blowing. (Not sure why they served us French fries.) The space was modest and the staff very friendly.

Being that south eastern Michigan is heavily Arab influenced, my DH and I knew we wanted to try the local food. There were many other choices around but we ultimately selected Al Ameer because of consistent reviews from multiple sources. Al Ameer delivered exactly what we were looking for.

At first we were a bit apprehensive of the area, being out of towners and not knowing what to expect but after arriving at the restaurant location, we felt quite safe in the area. The parking lot is a bit tight but we lucked out and found a great spot. The restaurant itself was spacious, not fancy and felt like a well run family business.

The server recommended a "sampler" platter that included 8 different types of food/meats -- chicken kabob, lamb kabob, kafta (ground meat) kabob, falafel, falafel like item with stuffed meat, grape leaf stuffed item, and shredded chicken and beef. I'm not doing much justice describing the meats but checked out the attached picture. The platter also came with a choice of a side and lots of pita bread. The serving was huge, and could easily feed 4 adults. It was super delicious -- all the meats were tender, flavorful and well seasoned.

If in the area, make sure to give it a try!
