We arrived late on a Thursday, about 8:30 PM, and the place was almost empty. Service was good, had to request bread for the table- after starting in on our salads, though. Neighboring table got bread without asking, go figure. My lasagna was some of the best I have ever had. Why do these places fill your huge wine glass one-quarter full? Never could understand that.

This is a place that should be amazing, unfortunately they can't get out of their own way. We arrived on time for our reservation, which they could not find. We waited while they cleared and set a table for us, but that was when our waiting began. The only redeeming value of this place was the quality of the food. Their chefs are gifted. If the owner reads this, you need to hire AND retrain all of your staff. In particular make sure that the front of house is paying attention, and is polite to his staff. We watched him outright bully his busboys. Please do something to save your restaurant.

This is the third time we have been to this restaurant over two summers. We loved the Abicci which closed several years ago and were thrilled with dinner at Primavera last year. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in this summer we noticed the place was half empty - completely the opposite of last summer. We had three different waiters, one who seemed very annoyed about everything and the other two just popping in and out. Our food was absolutely delicious but the main courses came out at different times making it awkward for a group dining together. Long waits in between courses and to order. All in all, the kitchen is turning out fantastic food, but the service turned us off.

First they apologized for delay in taking an order for drinks. After finishing dinner and the plates were cleared by the busboy, no one came to the table to ask if we wanted dessert, coffee, another drink, nothing. After waiting over 25 minutes and getting no attention, we signaled for the check. Waiter did not apologize-just brought check as he stated he thought something was wrong but never asked earlier

Primavera is located in a lovely building with small rooms that make conversation easy. Noise level is good for conversation. This is not a restaurant for small children. The decorations are modern with a very attractive bar with a huge marble table as you enter. Very beautiful setting. Menu is varied wine unusual pairings. Home made pastas. Good wine list. Local seafood. I had homemade fettuccine with sausage and seafood with a wild mushroom cream sauce. It was perfectly seasoned. My partner had Pasta Bolognese that he orders frequently and said it was one of his best. And he has it in Italy many times.

Service was competent and knowledgeable. We had a wait for our second glass of wine but that was our only glitch. This is a restaurant for a nice night out not for a fast quick dinner after the beach but it is nice to have a lovely special restaurant to go to.
