This old school motel along the Route connecting Pittsfield and Williamstown, Massachusetts is a period time piece. The new owners have lavished a lot of attention and personal touches to make this a warm, friendly and comfortable stay in the Berkshires.
Our room was comfortably furnished with (2) rocking chairs which you don't usually see in a hotel room. Our needs were covered and the hosts were gracious and welcoming. The bathrooms are vintage 1960 design and have held up longer and better than the Ikea furniture we've purchased since then.
The breakfast room was sunny, comfortable and with plenty of food and beverage choices to get you on your way.
The weather was a bit too cool for a swim in the pool which is across a stream behind the Inn.
This Country Inn is more old fashioned than modern, and that was welcome after our stays at national, impersonal hotel chains.More
