The worst hotel experience I've ever had, hands down. On check in my husband accidentally left his driver's license at the front desk and they didn't call us to let us know until the next morning, which is very disconcerting in this age of identify theft. The room was dingy and dirty and didn't have enough light. Bathroom ceiling clearly had water damage that they attempted to cover with spackle and failed. Didn't even bother to repaint, just spackle. Could still see the mold on the ceiling and spots on the bathroom wall. Other areas of the room had dents in the walls. The whole room was unclean. Duvet had stains. The door handle/lock not securely attached to the door and could see daylight around the edges. Carpet appeared dirty, so we never went barefoot in the room and the only things we put on the floor were shoes. AC stunk up the room and made me concerned about what we were breathing in. But we were afraid to open windows as this hotel is obviously used to house transients and other sketchy people constantly hanging around the parking lot and on the upper walkway. We were there 2 nights and the whole time there was a car parked in the same spot in the parking lot with an oil pan under it draining their oil. Pool looked gross, so didn't use it. The so called whirlpool tub is non-existent. It's covered over with fake grass and a cabana chair. The guest laundry room was filled with junk and signs. The ice machine so dirty I wouldn't even think of putting the ice in an actual drink. Breakfast was pretty pathetic, the only good thing was the yogurt because you can't really mess that up. We didn't even bother with it and ate out. If we were staying longer we definitely would have moved to another hotel. For people who say you only need a place to sleep so who cares, I would think twice about staying here. I've always had good luck with Choice Hotels, and I feel Choice might want to rethink having this property in their lineup. Everything about this places screams owners who just don't care.

Apparently they don't stock windex. Run down. Room ok. NO Working ice machine and it looks like it hasn't worked for some time, however im assuming its the owners show up for work in BMW SUV. Wifi excellent. Econolodge not checking on upkeep of their locations.

The Econolodge in Yarmouth is absolutely plain, it is clean but rather dingy and utterly lacking in charm. The breakfast is white bagels with white bread and white muffins there was absolutely no whole-grain anything and no Plain yogurt. For $125 on the Cape in high season it is a place to lay your head for the night but not more tomorrow than that. The beds were firm and clean and if you're comfortable having the windows open on both sides where people can walk by there's a lovely fresh Cape air at night otherwise you must use the air conditioning.

After staying a night last year, we decided to spend our second week on the Cape here and get the same room. We like to stay at Choice Hotels, and they're aren't many left this year on the Cape. The bed was so comfortable , room was clean. The shower was a little small, so might ask for different room if we get back there in the Fall.
Think we might have checked in with the owner who was very nice, and then there were two new clerks just learning the job, who were both very nice and always had a smile on their face when we walked by.
Lot's of restaurants close by, and not far from Kalmus beach which is our favourite to sit at. Good icecream shop across the street, and Dukin Donuts all with walking distance what more could you ask for. Hope to stay there again.

Booked a quick trip based on the indoor pool. Apparently there are several bad reviews. We didn't think it was so bad. Nothing fancy, had flat screen TV, and was clean. Staff was friendly. Inexpensive, and right on 28.

Room Tip: Booked king non smoker room.
