The fact that there are cars parked all along the road up to this place tells you how good it is. Like many restaurants on the Cape, this place is very retro but in this case it's quaint and deliberate. Feels like you're in a classic old time roadside diner, but the food is anything but old fashioned and ordinary. So many good, unique things on the menu I left wanting to go right back. My daughter had a savory crepe (spinach and cheese). Delicious. Hash and eggs? Fantastic! Loved that you can get things like a waffle as a side with a typical bacon and egg breakfast. Our server was super friendly.
Food came quickly but they didn't make you feel rushed. Loved this place. A little pricey but the food is high quality. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Very busy; you may have to wait, but it's worth it! Tip: You may have to part on the road because the parking lot is small. Park on the east side of the road or you will get a ticket!

The Red Cottage is a “cant miss “ place for us when we visit the cape each year on our summer vacation.
This time, my wife and I both ordered the same thing - the “Mashpee”. Eggs were cooked perfectly, hash was perfect and the blueberry pancakes - oh my! The best anywhere, anytime!
Coffee was great and they kept it topped off. Service was very friendly and extremely attentive.
Can’t wait until next year.

Worth the wait -- but get there early if you can! BIG menu with many mouthwatering selections. Enjoy breakfast the way it is meant to be...big portions, cooked to perfection, yummy! Happy people serving good food. My family raved about their meals...we had crepes, eggs bennie (great benedict offerings), waffle with apple compote, corned beef hash, breakfast sandwich, bottomless coffee. Definitely will return to the all-year establishment. Staff worked tirelessly to please customers. Staff dresses in theme on Sundays (today was MINION day -- how fun!). We will return for dinner menu at some point. Nice and neat dining area. Parking can be tight -- so be prepared to park on the street.

After coming to the Cape for 20 summers, we finally found a breakfast place worth returning to! Yum. Everything was perfect. Our party got a mix of items: pancakes, omelettes, crepes, and traditional eggs w/bacon. Staff could not have been more friendly - and they obviously enjoy each other, too - which makes such a difference in the experience. They were great with allergies & kept the coffee coming! We got there at 8am on a Friday in the summer and didn't wait at all. But, when we left, the line was down the street. So - get up & go! It's worth setting the alarm for...

This place is rated number one for a good reason!! There is so much to choose from you need to go multiple times to even sample a portion of what they have to offer. So many choices, three types of coffee, six breads, multiple options for bacon and sausage, never mind the huge variety of other breakfast dishes, standard and unique. Super friendly service to boot! Go, go and go again! You won’t be disappointed!
