Description: With a nod to the industrial past of the location, Legal on the Mystic was built to have a broad appeal and meld traditional with contemporary. The menu was assembled to provide a casual, social dining experience. The emphasis is on plates to share, salads, pizzas, sandwiches and tacos, but there are also options for those who prefer more classic Legal entrees. Food service is available up until one hour before close each day, at which time our bar remains open. Legal on the Mystic takes its design direction from the early industrial development that occurred at Assembly Square. By using materials such as steel pipes, metal mesh, steel, concrete and brick, the space takes on an industrial feel reminiscent of the history. The expo kitchen serves as a backdrop to the restaurant, while the bar is the focus. Large garage doors allow for open air dining and entry to a riverside patio that’s topped by a 20’ tulip umbrella.

It was interesting to learn the backstory of "Assembly Row." The whole area has been gentrified, & the results are amazing.

The restaurant incorporated industrial materials into its design, which was cool. Open Kitchen ~ sit close to get warm, far away to cool off.

The Bouillabaise was incredible. It even contained Lobster!

One member in my party eats fresh seafood almost every day. He ordered the Fisherman's Platter, & afterward raved about it to the Server. Others chose Whole-Bellied Fried Clams & Lobster Ravioli Fra Diavolo, which they pronounced delicious.

Be sure to make a rez for Dinner here.

They honored our reservation and even seated us 15 minutes early. I have been a fan of this chain for 30 years and haven't been back in 20. It used to be the freshest most delicious fish in town. Now it was fine but not spectacular. The scrod was nothing special and the mashed potatoes gluey. The trout had bones in it. The waitress was wonderful. Nice evening

I've been to Boston several times, and always enjoyed this chain. This time, not so much. Everything from decor to food to service was like a Chilli's, but at a high ticket price.
The waiter was fairly decent, and pleasant, and had recommendations.
But seriously, you can get better lobster at any roadside stand in New England. And the drinks were on par with any mass market chain.
Huge disappointment.

Enjoyed our dinner here.... Legal always has a fresh take on seafood. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant—in the warmer months they open the doors so you can enjoy the riverside location.
