This place has not changed one bit. Decor is the same as when they first opened but it fits. the restaurant is clean and bright. While the menu is quite limited to mostly seafood, what they serve is excellent. They have won many awards for their Seafood Bisque and their New England Clam Chowder. You can get some awesome clam cakes or try the spicier Portuguese clam cakes with chourico. Always a good choice with good prices. They offer take out too.

I stop by for a quick take out of chowder and clam cakes for a quick dinner when I am in the mood for seafood and don't want to cook.
It's a perfect meal for one person. Never fails in great tatse and satisfying my craving for seafood.

We go here often for pickup or to eat in. Fish and chips always excellent also the baked fish is a favorite. Today tried the special - cup of clam chowder, sunflower crunch coleslaw and a lobster salad BLT slider for 9.99 - yummy

Stoped in for lunch a week ago and "dined-in". It's kind of an unusual setting, like you're dining in someones converted garage but it's clean, bright and typical "seafood shanty".To start, I ordred a cup of clam chowder. It was rich and creamy but the clams were scarce. The clam roll, however, was excellent. The whole belly clams were fried just right and the portion I received was quite large. The fries, slaw and toasted hot dog roll were also good. I was too full to have desert but they did have some home made deserts to offer. I washed everything down with a can of Coke which was served with a tall plastic glass of ice. The lunch reminded me of a warm summer day near the beach so I really enjoyed it at this time of year.

Driving home on 195, and searched fast but good restaurants. This place came to right up. Nothing fancy, but Chef's Chowder House is terrific. Friendly waitresses, nice owner. They actually ran out of clams but the owner ran out for more right before we got here. Took no time at all to bring out fresh, tasty whole-bellied fried clams. Clam chowder was tasty, could have used more clams, but very good nonetheless.
